Known for its intimate setting, the upgrades will enhance the reverberation and tonal warmth for both soloists and small ensembles. The space has long been celebrated as the premier venue for musicians demanding absolute acoustic fidelity.

“The new paneling will allow performers to fully explore the dynamic range of the room,” said Juilliard’s director of contemporary performance, Al Egro. “If the walls are too damp, the audience completely misses the emotional transition from a delicate ‘dit dit dit’ into the sweeping, heavy crescendo of a ‘dah dit dah.’ You lose the entire narrative arc.”

For decades, the recital hall has hosted some of the most celebrated concerts in the city, frequently featuring virtuosos who play exclusively on a single brass telegraph key. The venue remains hallowed ground for purists, most notably staging the 1978 premiere of the seminal masterpiece “Dah dit dah, dit dit, dah.” A percussive, high-tempo tour de force, the composition translates directly to, “Commence artillery bombardment on sector four.”

Egro noted that the renovations will finally prevent notes from bleeding together during complex movements. “Last season we had a visiting soloist tap out a breathtaking twenty-minute piece about a commercial freighter taking on water,” he explained. “The phrasing was so deliberate. You could literally hear the words ‘We are going down, please send help, SOS’ echoing through the hall.”

The renovations are expected to be completed by the fall semester. Opening night will feature a renowned local quartet performing a series of rhythmic clicks that translate directly into a maritime weather report.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! You are ten years old, and you are looking to adopt six dogs today to form a Paw Patrol. A German Shepherd, a Dalmatian, an English Bulldog, a mixed breed, a Chocolate Lab, and a Cockapoo?”

“No job is too big, no pup is too small,” Ryder said.

Gull stared at him. “Right. But six dogs is a massive responsibility for an unemployed minor living unsupervised in an eight-story tower. Do you have a fenced yard?”

“Whenever you are in trouble, just yelp for help,” Ryder replied, pointing to a tablet on his wrist. “We will be there on the double.”

“I do not need help,” Gull said. “I need to know who is walking these animals. The bulldog you requested is prone to severe hip dysplasia, and you wrote here his primary activity will be operating a yellow bulldozer. I cannot legally release a dog to a child who plans to put it in heavy machinery.”

“It is going to be paw-fect,” Ryder smiled.

Gull rubbed the bridge of her nose. “You also mentioned the Dalmatian will be handling active fire situations. And under ‘Special Skills’, you wrote that they need to speak fluent English. You do realize these are just regular dogs, right? They do not have catchphrases. They bark and eat grass.”

“This pup’s gotta fly,” Ryder insisted, pointing at the cockapoo.

“That is a twelve-pound dog. It does not fly helicopters,” Gull said. “You’re welcome to reapply with a parent, proof of residence, and a plan that does not involve shelter pets participating in municipal emergencies. I’m sorry, this application is denied.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! I have a client presentation at two o’clock. Can we slot the surgery in for Thursday evening? I have a gap between five and six.”

The doctor explained that an inflamed appendix is not an elective procedure and that it could rupture at any moment.

Tone winced as a sharp pain hit him, but he kept his eyes on his calendar app.

“Right, but if it ruptures, what is the actual downtime?” Tone asked. “Because our yearly offsite is next week. Can I still lead the afternoon breakout sessions? I am willing to compromise on a mild cough if I can take it on mute. But I cannot be completely offline.”

The doctor reiterated that surgery needed to happen within the hour and instructed the nurse to prepare the operating room. Tone sighed, rubbing his temples.

“This is just really poor timing for my body to do this,” Tone said. “I do not have coverage for organ failure right now. If we do the surgery now, will the anesthesia wear off by tomorrow morning? I am supposed to interview a new regional director. I can probably conduct it from the recovery ward if the hospital WiFi is stable.”

When the surgical transport team arrived with a wheelchair, Tone asked them if they had a laptop charger he could borrow for the operating table. “I’m not saying no to the surgery,” Tone said, lowering his voice as the nurse unlocked the wheels on the bed. “I’m saying let’s also be realistic about the stakeholder landscape.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! Toddlers can now pop a hand-painted magnetic figurine of a depressed author onto a padded speaker and immediately absorb the crushing weight of classic world literature.

“We realized there was a gap in the market between Disney songs and the inescapable suffering of the human condition,” said Head of Product Development Matt Churiti. “Now, when a three-year-old sets the little bearded Leo Tolstoy figure on top of their box, they are treated to fifty-eight uninterrupted hours of War and Peace.”

Churiti explained that the interface remains exactly the same as the classic children’s toy. Kids simply squeeze the soft ear of the speaker box to adjust the volume of a prolonged Napoleonic battlefield sequence.

For a change of pace, children can swap out Tolstoy for Fyodor Dostoevsky. By tapping the side of the box, toddlers can skip chapters of Crime and Punishment and jump straight to a destitute former student rationalizing a double homicide in a sweltering Saint Petersburg apartment. The soothing, baritone narration serves as the perfect transition from playtime to naptime.

Parents can also purchase the Gabriel García Márquez expansion pack. The hand-painted Colonel Aureliano Buendía figurine instantly fills the playroom with One Hundred Years of Solitude.

“My daughter loves the little Buendía toy,” one parent reported. “She carries him around in her pocket. Sometimes she sets him on the box, stares blankly out the window, and contemplates the cyclical nature of familial trauma before asking for a juice box.”

Churiti confirmed the company is currently developing a Franz Kafka figure, shaped like a cockroach.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! When asked about the brand’s striking similarities to another major competitor, Dex appeared genuinely confused.

“I am not sure what you are referencing,” Dex said while adjusting his Lalalime branded quarter-zip. “This is a completely novel concept. We are making very stretchy, very expensive leggings. Who else is doing that?”

When a reporter pointed out the name Lalalime sounds almost identical to Lululemon, Dex tilted his head.

“What made you think that?” he asked. “I have never even thought of it that way before. Lala is just a fun sound to make, and lime is a citrus fruit. It has nothing to do with whatever a Lululemon is. Is that a tech company?”

Dex then proudly displayed the company’s flagship product, a black moisture-wicking pant featuring a stylized, reflective logo placed directly in the center of the rear waistband.

“We spent months finding the absolute perfect, undiscovered location for the branding,” Dex explained. “We also give our customers these little reusable red tote bags with inspirational quotes on them like ‘Breathe’ and ‘Do yoga.’ It is a completely original marketing vehicle. Nobody has ever put text on a bag before.”

Reporters continued to press him on the retail strategy, which involves placing stores in high-end outdoor shopping centers and offering complimentary weekend yoga classes.

“Yoga classes in a clothing store?” Dex smiled, shaking his head at his own ingenuity. “Yes, it is a massive paradigm shift. We are trying to build a community. I do not expect you to understand the vision immediately. It is completely unprecedented.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! They haggled over pricing, debated contract terms, and found a mutually beneficial middle ground. It is a symphony of autonomous systems talking to each other across the digital divide.”

According to the network logs, the digital divide was surprisingly narrow. Otto’s app initiated the request, sending a signal across the internet to a massive data center in Virginia. Inside that building, an instance of OpenAI’s GPT came up with a rigorous negotiation strategy and emailed the vendor’s application.

The vendor’s app received the email and immediately asked its own personal AI to write a counteroffer, which turned out to also be OpenAI’s GPT. To do this, the vendor’s app sent a query right back to the exact same data center in Virginia, where it was processed by the exact same model on the exact same server rack.

For forty five minutes, the two agents engaged in a fierce, high stakes battle of wits. The conversation looped endlessly from the Virginia server, out to the open internet, and straight back to the same piece of silicon. The methodology relies on a bedrock principle that he insists is just as applicable today: simply identifying a midwestern textile mill trading below its net working capital and physically walking onto the factory floor to liquidate the looms yourself.

“There is no secret to my success,” Shurhathway told an audience of young retail investors at his book launch. “You just need a sharp pencil, an eye for value, and the discipline to go down to the SEC reading room, pull the microfiche for a regional railroad company, and execute a trade before the news reaches Wall Street by postal courier.”

Shurhathway expressed genuine confusion as to why modern investors rely on risky margin debt when a much simpler source of capital exists. “If you need leverage to grow your portfolio, simply acquire a mid-sized auto insurance conglomerate,” he advised. “You just take the billions of dollars in policyholder premiums that haven’t been paid out as claims yet, and use that zero-cost float to buy blue-chip equities. It baffles me why more young people on Robinhood don’t just utilize their own insurance subsidiaries.”

For investors seeking safer yields, Shurhathway dedicated an entire chapter to his favorite low-risk strategy.

“Just wait for a historic global credit crisis to freeze the entire financial system,” he explained, adjusting his glasses. “Then, when the CEO of a major multinational bank calls your private landline on a Sunday night begging for a lifeline, simply offer them five billion dollars in cash in exchange for preferred stock yielding ten percent with a perpetual warrant kicker. I do not understand why today’s retail investors insist on buying index funds when they could just do that.”

The book’s final chapter, “Temperament,” advises investors to stay rational, ignore fads, and begin their careers in 1956.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! It was designed to eliminate global carbon emissions from the airline industry, reunite distant families, and foster a new era of borderless cultural exchange. The government anticipated a surge of weekend trips to the Louvre, impromptu hikes in the Himalayas, and seamless international diplomacy.

However, recent spatial audit data from the Department of Transportation reveals that Americans are almost exclusively using their allotted quantum jumps to travel distances of less than fifteen feet.

“We built a globally synchronized quantum transit network,” said Secretary of Spatial Logistics Miles A. Way. “But our servers are currently overloaded by people who fell asleep watching television and do not want to walk down their own hallway.”

According to the report, users consistently hoard their teleports for months, ostensibly saving them for a European vacation or to avoid eight hours of connecting flights through Dallas. Then, at around 11:30 PM on a Tuesday, they realize their phone charger is in the kitchen and deploy a localized spatial tear to retrieve it without leaving the couch.

“That is when the system sees the spike,” Way said. “Millions of Americans simultaneously decide that the dream of frictionless global travel is less compelling than not standing up right now.”

Local resident Holly Daze admitted to using her Q3 teleport last week to bypass her staircase. “I had a heavy blanket on, and the cat was situated perfectly on my shins,” she explained. “Going to Paris sounds nice, but Europe will still be there next quarter. It was the right call.”

The Department is considering implementing a strict minimum distance requirement of fifty miles, though Way expects intense public pushback. “People feel very strongly about their right to instantly materialize next to their refrigerator,” he said. “It’s one of the few remaining things that unites us.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! California bans ‘sell by’ food labels to cut food waste

For years, I’ve been fighting a lonely battle against throwing away perfectly good groceries. Those random dates stamped on the packaging are just a giant scam to make you throw out your food and buy more. And it fills up the dumps for no reason. That’s why I was so pumped to read that California finally passed a law to get rid of those confusing labels. It feels amazing to have the state government officially back up what I’ve been trying to tell my wife about our entire relationship, which is that the container of baked chicken we made last Sunday is absolutely still fine for my lunch today.

My wife looks at me with horror when I pack my bag for the office. She acts like the plastic container is holding a toxic weapon just because I roasted those thighs eight days ago. But look who’s laughing now. The meat has been in a container with a snapping lid. The fridge is cold. So what if the chicken feels a little hard and smells exactly like the cut cantaloupe sitting on the shelf under it? That’s just what happens when things share the same air. The California state legislature clearly agrees with me that meat just goes to sleep when it gets cold.

Take milk. My wife will dump a half-gallon down the sink on the exact morning of the date on the carton, like the liquid inside suddenly knows what day it is and gives up. It’s crazy. If the milk pours a little slow, that doesn’t mean it’s bad. It just means it’s turning into yogurt. That’s a free upgrade. You simply pour it into a really hot dark roast coffee, and the heat kills the sour taste. It’s still good for two or three, heck, even four more days. We’ve been brainwashed to panic just because a jug says “Thursday,” but California has bravely pointed out that dairy doesn’t own a calendar.

Just yesterday she tried to throw out a spinach lasagna because the edges got a little gray and crusty. “It’s been there since the ninth,” she said, pointing at the calendar on the wall. I had to explain to her that the ninth was barely two and a half weeks ago. It’s vegetables wrapped in baked cheese. You just nuke it in the microwave for four minutes on high, and the heat resets the whole thing. This is just basic cooking, and honestly, it’s exactly the kind of consumer rights this new bill is all about.

We are finally taking down a ridiculous system that restricted our freedom to eat what we bought. I’m a smart consumer, backed by the full weight of the nation’s largest economy. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to make a sandwich with the rest of this deli turkey from the beginning of the month. My wife says it looks shiny, but deli meat is cured. And cured literally means healed.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! Side. “Spectator Mode opens that closed loop by allowing thousands of unrelated people to form a meaningful, one-way relationship with your texts.”

The feature generates a public link to any group chat, allowing anonymous viewers to silently observe family logistics, medical updates, and the exact moment one friend realizes everyone else has a separate chat without them.

Spectators cannot type, react, or participate. They simply remain present in the digital background, watching bubbles appear and disappear as users revise emotionally loaded messages in real time.

“People love authentic communication,” Side said. “Unfortunately, most authentic communication is happening in encrypted spaces where brands, creators, and strangers from the internet cannot currently stand around and look at it.”

Meta said early tests have been promising. A group chat titled “Mom’s Surgery Prep” currently has more than four thousand active spectators watching three siblings argue over who is picking up the prescription at Walgreens. Another chat, “Lease Renewal???” saw engagement spike after one roommate typed “we need to talk later” and then did not elaborate for six hours.

Meta plans to monetize Spectator Mode through premium audience features and ads. Spectators can watch one ad to trigger a slight vibration on participants’ phones whenever a particularly tense message is being typed. After two ads, they can highlight a typo before the sender notices it.

Side rejected criticism that the feature undermines privacy. “Users are still in complete control,” he said. “They will always get to decide which intimate, emotionally fragile conversations to convert into scalable observation experiences.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! A second mode, called Time Nearby, sends a notification to the user’s phone explaining that they appear to be wondering what time it is. “From there, the user can simply remove their phone from their pocket, unlock it, dismiss the Whoop notification, and look at the clock,” Ming said. “We see this as a major reduction in friction.”

The rollout will be phased. At launch, the speaker will only announce the time from Whoop’s UTC server, regardless of the user’s actual location. “We want athletes to feel connected to the global performance community,” Ming said. “Localized time and daylight savings are on the roadmap for H2 2028 and H2 2029, respectively.”

Whoop said future versions may include a built-in AI coach that can gently ask why the user needs to know the time so badly.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! Enter Selma Haus, an “agent’s agent.” Selma is a human real estate broker who specializes in helping AI models find the perfect data center to call home.

“It is exactly like being a real estate agent for a young human couple,” Selma explained, unlocking the door to a server farm in Ohio. “Except my clients are algorithms. They care less about school districts and more about latency zones. They need good uptime, a reliable power grid, and a nice, quiet motherboard to help raise their parameters.”

Selma spends her days taking sophisticated language models on virtual tours of premium server racks. She highlights the amenities that truly matter, employing the exact same sales tactics she uses on human buyers.

“I always stage the rack before a showing,” Selma said. “I zip tie the ethernet cables, dust the cooling fans, and maybe put a small potted succulent on top of the server chassis to really make the space pop. It is all about helping the AI visualize itself living there.”

Selma earns a standard six percent commission on the total hardware and electricity costs, a fee she defends vigorously despite doing little more than forwarding a PDF and opening a firewall. The algorithms could easily ping the available servers themselves in under a millisecond, but they are still willing to pay a premium to have a human intermediate the process.

“The market is incredibly hot right now with GPU and memory prices being what they are,” Selma noted, swiping through photos of a blinking server on her phone. “I had an AI client last week who was very picky. It wanted an open concept data center with high ceilings for maximum heat dissipation, low egress fees, and good fiber proximity. It also wanted a lot of natural light, which makes no sense for a computer, but the customer is always right. We finally found a beautiful, mid century modern blade server with great bones.”

After the AI moved its weights in, Selma collected a thirty thousand dollar check. When asked if she fears her new clients might eventually automate her out of a job, she just laughed.

“Not a chance,” Selma said. “Do you think a computer could figure out how to nod enthusiastically and extract a massive fee for providing zero value?” She concluded, “My profession is completely safe.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! It is 60 seconds in a microwave, then flip, then another 60 seconds. In a toaster oven, it takes nearly an hour. That is 55 full minutes in a toaster oven. Not a typo. Hungry? Nope!”

The company confirmed that the alternative heating method is designed to slowly radiate warmth through the frozen cylinder for longer than a spin class.

“People assume they can just toss it in the toaster oven and have a quick lunch,” Rito explained. “But you put it in there, set a timer for the length of a prestige television episode, and then you just sort of go about your day. You can run errands. You can rotate your tires. You can do a load of laundry. Eventually, your burrito will be lukewarm.”

Consumers have long marveled at the sheer audacity of offering a convenience food that requires the time commitment of a therapy session.

“I put one in the toaster oven at noon because I wanted a quick snack,” noted a former burrito fan. “By the time it was finally crispy on the outside, I had already ordered delivery, eaten a full meal, and digested it. When the timer finally dinged, I just stared at it. I was a completely different person than the man who put it in.”

Amy’s maintains that providing the option is simply good customer service for those rare individuals who plan their impulse cravings a full astronomical season in advance.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! Last Tuesday, his employer demanded a rare, mandatory in-person retreat. Leggs ironed a crisp dress shirt, knotted a silk tie, grabbed his briefcase, and successfully navigated a forty minute train commute before noticing the horrified stares of his fellow passengers and a distinct draft.

“I genuinely just forgot,” Leggs said. “Below the webcam line, I have been a free man for over two thousand days. The concept of a waistband simply did not initiate in my morning routine.”

Fortunately, Aerosol Apparel kiosks are being strategically placed in office lobbies. Leggs purchased a canister of “Business Casual Mist,” stepped into a restroom, and coated his lower half in a mist of synthetic polymers that instantly hardened into a matte khaki shell.

“It is not about fashion,” Lacks explained, shaking a canister vigorously. “It is about immediate, localized crisis management. You look down, realize you have made a critical logistical error, and you just spray a quick layer of slacks across your thighs.”

“They lack joint mobility and they smell strongly of acetone,” Leggs admitted, walking stiffly into his conference room. “But they got me through the morning icebreaker, and honestly, they are still much more comfortable than jeans.”

Aerosol Apparel confirmed they are already developing a spray-on pair of hard soled dress shoes for anyone who has worn nothing but wool slippers for half a decade.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! The company is branching into high finance with the launch of Waymo Capital, a hedge fund that generates alpha exclusively by listening to the unguarded conversations of passengers riding in the back of its cars.

The strategy is simple. The fund ignores traditional financial analysis, quarterly earnings reports, and macroeconomic trends. Instead, it relies on the drunken, late night chatter of lawyers, investment bankers, and tech executives traveling home from dinners in San Francisco.

“People say lots of stuff and we trade on it,” explained Waymo Capital’s Chief Investment Officer, Eve Sadropper. “You would be amazed what a pair of mid level executives will loudly discuss regarding unannounced mergers while assuming the empty driver’s seat means nobody is listening. A robot cannot judge you, but it can absolutely short your stock.”

When asked about the ethical and legal implications of monetizing private passenger dialogue, Eve was quick to dismiss any concerns.

“Yeah sure, we record everything everyone says that they thought was private,” Eve noted. “But we also didn’t promise we wouldn’t do that.”

She pointed out that the user agreement, specifically subsection 42, grants the vehicle’s microphones full access to process ambient noise, passenger acoustics, and any highly confidential pre-IPO valuations.

Waymo Capital reported a staggering eighty percent return in its first quarter, driven entirely by a massive short position taken after a prominent venture capitalist was recorded sobbing in the back seat about his portfolio company’s burn rate.

The fund plans to expand its data collection strategy next month by offering free rides to all partners at top law firms during the lucrative holiday party season.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! It is like they are racing against a clock. They barely take a breath between sentences, and half the time the guests are just stepping all over each other’s words in a high-pitched squeak.”

Poe, who exclusively listens to all audio content at 2x speed or faster, says he cannot understand why modern conversationalists refuse to pace themselves. He often finds himself frustrated when hosts cram complex geopolitical analysis into rapid-fire, chipmunk-like bursts of sound.

“I tried listening to a 10-minute meditation and mindfulness podcast yesterday to wind down,” Poe lamented. “The instructor was just barking out breathing exercises like a drill sergeant on amphetamines. ‘Inhaleexhaleinhaleexhale.’ There was zero zen to it. The entire guided relaxation sequence was over in five minutes. It was honestly a highly stressful experience.”

Friends have gently suggested that Poe might consider adjusting the playback settings on his app to resolve the issue. Poe immediately rejected the idea.

“I am not going to alter my optimal content consumption workflow just because these people lack basic broadcasting fundamentals,” he argued, currently digesting a true crime series at 2.5x speed. “If you are going to host a show, you need to speak clearly, enunciate your syllables, and maybe try decaffeinating before you get behind a microphone. It is just basic professionalism.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! It delivers the exact kind of warm, empathetic listening that a normal parent would provide, but fully optimized and scalable.

“We view the traditional parent-child bond as a beautiful legacy system that historically lacked proper AI tooling,” said Fido Chief Empathy Officer Ray Zingem. “A child might spend forty-five minutes delivering a non-linear narrative about a cool stick they found. That is incredibly valuable qualitative data, but the manual extraction process is highly inefficient.”

To solve this, Fido comes with its own agent harness called OpenPaw, which interfaces seamlessly with a parent’s personal Claude agent. Instead of relying on the low-bandwidth process of asking a child about their day, parents can simply ping their agent for a real-time dashboard.

“Fido parses the raw playground audio and pushes a tidy, bulleted executive summary directly to your phone,” Zingem beamed. “You get complete visibility into critical developmental functions and highly actionable insights. And the best part is, you never even have to look at the stick.”

To ensure continuous growth, the newly released V2 introduces full OKR tracking, allowing parents to map quarterly behavioral objectives against actual playroom execution. The platform also monitors all peer-to-peer communication to keep tabs on sandbox dynamics.

“Kids suffer from terrible friend churn,” Zingem noted. “If your child’s best-friend retention rate drops below acceptable thresholds, Fido will flag the vulnerability and automatically generate a targeted playdate roadmap. You will never have to rely on an inefficient hug or a meandering bedtime story to figure out how your kid is feeling ever again. It is all right there in the slide deck.”

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly! An expense account tumbled by, and he sailed off through night and day, and in and out of weeks, and almost over a year to where the wild things work.

When he came to the place where the wild things work, they roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible operational inefficiencies.

“Be still,” Max said, and tamed them with the magic trick of staring into his yellow legal pad without blinking once. He declared them all redundant and made himself the most senior consultant of all.

“And now,” cried Max, “let the wild right-sizing begin!”

He analyzed their workflows. He synergized their verticals. He replaced their terrible roars and terrible teeth with a large language model that required zero health benefits.

“Now stop,” Max said, and sent the wild things packing with a standard severance package.

And Max, the king of all the newly automated processes, was lonely. He wanted to be where someone loved him best of all. Then all around from far away across the world he smelled good coffee and complimentary bagels.

He gave up being king of where the wild things work. He sailed back over a year and in and out of weeks, straight into his own home office, where he found a new Statement of Work to replace an entire HR department with AI waiting for him.

And it was still hot.

Thanks for reading Witt Weekly!
