0x10
0x10 has been creating NFTs and developing full-time on Tezos since mid 2021 and brings decades of traditional software development and technical leadership experience to the ecosystem
They are a generative/interactive/conceptual artist, a former CTO, a white hat hacker, an occasional consultant, and a life-long creative coder that currently find themselves spending 99% of their professional time making NFTs and developing Tezos smart contracts
This allows them to bring a deep technical understanding without the hinderance of a demanding schedule, which means more time for asking (and answering) questions on this forum, which they find to be their most important source of information on Tezos smart contract development
Questionnaire
- How would you deal with a user who produced a steady stream of valuable answers, but tends to generate a large number of arguments/flags from comments?
I would first review the users history to see if there are any patterns. Then I would message the user directly, focusing on the value they bring to the ecosystem and try to figure out what triggers the arguments, as it may not be the poster themselves but rather the flagger or responder
- How would you handle a situation where another mod closed/deleted/etc. a question that you feel shouldn’t have been?
I would message the other mod and ask them why they removed the question. If I still feel it should be reopened after the discussion I would explain why and it is still unresolved after that message a third mod to weigh in on the matter
- In your opinion, what do moderators do?
Moderators keep things on topic, make sure others are aware of the guidelines, and point out infractions to these guidelines. Moderators should also nurture newcomers and encourage contributors, both new and established, to help each other grow the ecosystem and user base. Moderators should also ask a lot of questions and have strong technical experience in and around the subject matter
- A diamond will be attached to everything you say and have said in the past, including questions, answers and comments. Everything you will do will be seen under a different light. How do you feel about that?
I didn't know that was the case but I would be pretty stoked that the community trusts me enough to do a good job and would find it very motivating
- In what way do you feel that being a moderator will make you more effective as opposed to simply reaching 10k or 20k rep?
I'm on this site daily and feel that I can contribute a lot more than just asking and answering questions
