Information we collect
We collect personal information from you, including information as listed but not limited to:
- Basic company information – We will collect basic company information from you when you sign up with Nectar as your Managed IT Partner.
- Basic personal information – We will collect basic personal information from you and your staff. Some of this information is but not limited to full name, date of birth, mobile number.
- Mailouts and digital contact – if you have signed up for our news letter or our ticketing system notications we will collect your email address.
- Infrastructure details – we will collection information around computers, servers and network infrastructure inside your business.
- Interactions with us (Service tickets, Meetings, phone calls and emails) – We may collect your email address, contact information and the contents of your email. We may record calls with the services desk for training and quality control purposes, we will notify you if we are recording the interation and you may request a copy of the recording.
- Billing or Purchase Information – We collect billing information and purchase records.
- Accounting information (Credit Historys, payment details).

Data Security and Retention
Nectar collects and stores your information and data in a secure environment, your information and data are protected from unauthorised access which prevents use by unauthorised parties.
Nectar stores your personal information for only as long as we have a valid reason for keeping it, until you request we dispose or hand over said information or as long as required by law for example tax records, invoicing records, or other financial information.
All data that has expired, requested to be destroyed, or is no longer required will be securely destroyed. We do not keep physical copies of any personal information.
What rights do you have and how to log a complaint
You have the right at any time regarding your personal or business data to

What are our requirements under law
With changes to the privacy act that come into effect on the 1st December 2020 we are required to take the following actions.
- If Nectar has a privacy breach that it believes has caused (or is likely to cause) serious harm it will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and the affected individuals as soon a possible.
- Nectar will only provide personal information to our partners outside of New Zealand if the receiving agency is subject to similar safeguards to those in the Privacy Act.
- Ensure that our partners who are operating inside of New Zealand have a Privacy Statement that aligns with the New Zealand Privacy Act.
