Hi,

not sure this is a critical error:-

if an unconnected socket is passed to socket.ssl this
causes a segmenation fault on RedHat 8.

from socket import *
s=socket()
#s.connect((url, 443))
s2=ssl(s, None, None)
(exits to cmd line with seg fault message)

Obvioiusly one would never want to do this!

This should be fixed in version 1.13 of Modules/_ssl.c.
Please test from CVS to verify.

Should also be duplicate of bpo-754870.
