The trans community has suffered through this epidemic of violence for way too long and it's time we start protecting trans citizens. Many hate crimes against trans people are often not reported because the justice system does NOT help gain justice nor help protect trans lives. The police misgender, use dead names, and do not do a thorough investigation into cases dealing with trans victims knowing they’re trans. It's time we ask our justice system to do BETTER for the trans community and stop ignoring the violence the trans community is going through. We need laws protecting trans citizens. It's 2021 and already 7 trans citizens have been killed most are dealing with gun violence and in 2020 45 or more trans lives were killed. I say or more because we don't know for sure because cases are often under-reported or misgendered or they use the victim's dead names making it impossible to bring this issue into the light for all trans victims that have dealt with these hate crimes. The United States cant only be a great country for the privileged but for all. #PROTECTTRANSLIVES
