The journey so far

FEB 2020 @megaamerican begins The account goes up on 17 February 2020, built in five-hour nights after shifts at a car rental desk.
2022–2023 Fifty states, ranked A post-it-note map and a running argument about which state is prettiest. The series runs about eighteen months and carries the account to 1.7 million on TikTok.
OCT 2023 The reaction, and the reveal He films his own face registering a view, then pans to the view. The first one takes a 50% like ratio in two hours, against 10% for a good video. He drops every other format, leaves Texas within days, and has not had a home base since.
SEP 2024 The otter Out whale watching in Alaska, he turns the camera on sea otters floating on their backs nearby. Nothing about it was planned, but it became most-liked video on his TikTok at around twenty million.
JUL 2025 Eighteen million on TikTok TikTok passes 18.8 million on July 20th. It is the mark the next twelve months get measured against.
OCT–NOV 2025 50 sunsets, 50 states, 50 days One state a day, the best sunset spot in each, finishing on November 20th — fifty days, around 13,000 miles, and about six hours behind the wheel daily. He had wanted to do it for seven or eight years.
SEP 2026 Forty-six million 46.1 million people across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. TikTok alone is past thirty-one million, at 31,163,480 — up 10.3M in the twelve months to 19 July, on 8.2B views and 774.5M likes.
