Traditional Music

Our roots run deep.

A group of friends founded PineCone in 1984 to bring traditional music down the mountain to Raleigh. We've been picking and singing those high lonesome songs ever since.

PineCone is now a resident company at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. We celebrate music with roots through concerts, jams, summer camps, workshops and a huge free street festival.
