2027
A private letter to Texas business owners, associations, and friends of the conservative movement
On Tuesday, February 23, 2027, in Round Rock, the Texas Young Republican Federation will seat the people who write and pass the laws of Texas at the same tables as the people who will replace them.
Seven sponsor levels. One Title Sponsor. A fixed number of tables in a fixed ballroom. And for every table sponsor, a seat at your table set aside for a Texas legislator you ask for by name. We cannot guarantee any one of them. We can tell you that most years, they come.
When the tables are gone, the answer is "no," not "we'll squeeze you in."
Whose Name Is on the Table When Texas Sits Down to Dinner?
The third annual TYRF Policy Dinner puts your name in front of legislators, county chairs, donors, and the 18-to-40-year-olds who will run this state for the next thirty years. Below is exactly what a sponsorship buys, what it does not, how table sponsors get a legislator seated with them, and why the smart money reserves early.
Dear Friend,
Let me tell you about a room.
In February 2021, the Governor of Texas, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker of the Texas House walked into the same dinner, on the same night, to speak to the same audience. That does not happen at your chamber luncheon. It rarely happens at the Capitol. It happened at a Young Republican dinner.
Four years later, in February 2025, more than 350 conservatives packed the Sheraton in Georgetown for the Policy Dinner. Governor Abbott delivered the keynote and laid out his priorities for the 89th Session. Standard tickets sold out. Austin television covered it. And attendees from earlier dinners had already watched two priorities they championed, the Heartbeat Bill and Constitutional Carry, become the law of Texas.
On February 23, 2027, we do it a third time. In Round Rock. Six weeks into the 90th Legislative Session, while every bill is still alive and the filing deadline has not yet passed.
I am writing to you for one reason: I would like your name on one of those tables.
Who is actually in the room
Most "networking dinners" are a hotel ballroom full of people who want something from each other and can't deliver it. This room is different because of who the Texas Young Republican Federation is: a statewide federation of Republicans aged 18 to 40, organized into local chapters, whose stated job is to recruit, train, and elect. Its members are the staffers, consultants, county officials, and candidates of the next three decades. On February 23 they sit down with the people they work for.
- Legislators and their staffIn session, in Central Texas, seven weeks into the 90th Legislature. The chief of staff who is 31 today chairs a committee at 45.
- Statewide officialsPast Policy Dinners have drawn the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker. Speakers are announced as they confirm.
- Coalition partnersThe 2025 dinner was co-hosted with the Texas Federation of Republican Women and the Texas Republican County Chairmen's Association.
- Donors and policy professionalsThink-tank staff, association executives, and the donors who fund primaries across Texas.
- Grassroots leadersChapter presidents and precinct chairs from Houston to El Paso who decide which candidates get volunteers.
- The new generationHundreds of TYRF members, ages 18 to 40, who will remember who showed up for them.
You are not buying an advertisement. You are buying the room.
An ad interrupts strangers. A sponsorship introduces you to people who can already act on what you have to say. That distinction is the entire reason this letter exists, so let me put it side by side:
What a billboard on I-35 gets you
Tens of thousands of impressions from people driving 75 miles an hour, none of whom sit on a committee, chair a county party, or will ever be asked their opinion of you.
Recognition: none. Relationships: none. Seats at a table: none.
What a Capitol table gets you
Seven seats you fill, and one you ask us to fill with a Texas House member from your own list. The person to your left may write the bill that affects your industry. The person to your right may run for that seat in 2032.
Your name on the program, on the screen, and from the podium, in front of the people who decide things.
Three things a sponsorship does that a campaign check cannot
- It buys standing with the bench. Young Republicans become legislators, chiefs of staff, agency heads, and lobbyists. They remember the companies and families that backed them before it was convenient.
- It buys recognition where recognition counts. A thank-you from the podium in front of 350 conservative leaders is heard differently than a logo on a website.
- It buys seats you decide how to use. Bring your general counsel. Bring your best client. Bring your lobbyist. Bring your 24-year-old who wants to run someday. The table is yours.
The part no billboard, banquet, or PAC check can offer: a legislator at your table
Here is how a sponsor table at this dinner actually works, because it is different from any other dinner you have sponsored.
Elected officials do not pay for their seats at the Policy Dinner. They sit with our sponsors. When you reserve a table, we ask you for a short list of the Texas legislators you would most like to spend the evening with, usually members of the Texas House. Then we go to work on it.
The Texas Young Republican Federation has spent years building relationships in that building. Our members have staffed these offices, run these campaigns, and knocked these doors. In past years, a great many of the members our sponsors asked for said yes and showed up. That is not a promise. It is a track record.
What we will not say
"Representative So-and-so is confirmed for your table." We do not guarantee any individual legislator, and we will not pretend to. Members get called back to the floor, committees run late, and session is unpredictable.
What we will do
Take your list. Work every relationship we have to seat one or two of the people on it with you. Tell you honestly where things stand as the dinner approaches. Fill the seat with someone worth meeting if your first choices cannot make it.
Think about what that means in practice. A table for eight becomes seven of your people, plus a member of the Texas House, seven weeks into session, with two and a half hours and no staff between you. Your general counsel sits across from the chair of the committee that hears your bill. Your 26-year-old sits next to the person whose seat they may run for one day. Nobody sells that. It has to be earned, and we have spent years earning it on your behalf.
Now, here is what each level includes. I have listed them exactly as they appear on the sponsorship form, with one addition: the legislator request, which comes with every table.
The sponsorship levels, from the bottom up
Pick the level. Pick your eight. We handle the rest.
Every level includes everything below it. Every VIP ticket includes the VIP Reception before the dinner, which is where the real conversations happen. The line between "guest" and "host" is drawn at $5,000, and it is drawn on purpose: that is where you get a table, and a table is where the legislator request begins.

Three hard limits, and none of them are marketing
- One Title Sponsor. Not "a limited number." One. The first organization that claims it, has it.
- A fixed number of tables. The ballroom in Round Rock has a floor plan, and the floor plan has a number on it. In 2025, standard tickets sold out. Sponsor tables are released in the order commitments arrive.
- Print deadlines are real. Signage and printed programs go to the printer before the dinner. Commit late and you will be thanked from the podium, but you will not be on the wall.
- Legislators are asked in the order lists arrive. If three sponsors want the same House member, the first list in gets the first ask. The later you commit, the shorter your realistic list.
Reserve your level now
The form takes about three minutes. Choose your level, enter the information Texas campaign finance law requires, and you are on the list. Table sponsors: email your legislator wish list to vaughnstrategies@gmail.com as soon as you have it.

Proof, then the questions people actually ask
This is not our first dinner. It is our third.
At the 2025 Policy Dinner, Governor Abbott told a sold-out room of more than 350 that Republican groups coming together is how the party keeps winning in Texas, then walked through school choice, property tax relief, and border security for the session ahead.
Georgetown, February 25, 2025. Reported by the Office of the Governor and Austin's KVUE.Earlier Policy Dinner attendees championed the Heartbeat Bill and Constitutional Carry before either became law. The dinner is where the priorities got said out loud first.
From the 2025 dinner's own invitationThe questions people ask before they write the check
Will the Governor be there?
We do not sell what we have not booked. Past Policy Dinners have drawn the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker of the House, and the 2027 program is being built to that standard. Speakers are announced publicly as they confirm. What you are buying today is the room, the recognition, and the seats. The program is the reason the room fills.
How does the legislator request actually work?
After you reserve a table, send us a short ranked list of the Texas legislators you would like seated with you, generally members of the Texas House. We use our relationships to invite them to your table as our guests. Legislators do not pay for their seats. We aim to seat one or two from your list. We do not guarantee any particular person, and we will tell you plainly where things stand rather than let you find out on the night. In past years, most sponsors who submitted a list ended up with someone from it at their table.
Do I decide who sits in the rest of my seats?
Yes. Your VIP tickets and tables are yours to distribute. Most sponsors mix their own leadership with the two or three people they most want to spend an evening with, and leave one or two chairs for the legislator request. If you cannot use every seat, tell us and we will fill them with TYRF members who would not otherwise be able to attend, and you still get credit for hosting them.
Is a sponsorship tax deductible?
No. The Texas Young Republican Federation is a political organization, and contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. Treat it as what it is: a political investment in the new generation of Texas leadership.
Can my company sponsor, or does it have to be me personally?
That depends on how your business is organized and on Texas campaign finance rules. The sponsorship form collects the occupation and employer information the law requires. If you are unsure which name the sponsorship should be in, email vaughnstrategies@gmail.com before you commit and we will walk you through it.
I cannot attend on February 23. Is there any point in sponsoring?
Your recognition does not depend on your attendance. Your name still appears at your level, you are still thanked from the podium, and your seats can go to your team, your clients, or to Young Republicans you choose to host. Several sponsors every year use their table exactly this way.
What is the deadline?
The honest answer is "before the tables are gone and before the printer runs." Both happen well ahead of February 23. The Title Sponsorship closes the moment it is claimed. If you want a specific level, the safe answer is now.
What we commit to, in writing
- Your recognition, exactly as listed for your level. Nothing quietly downgraded because a bigger sponsor came along later.
- Your seats, together, under your name. Tables are seated as tables, not scattered across the room.
- A real person who answers. Questions about seating, names on signage, or invoicing go to a human at vaughnstrategies@gmail.com.
- Your legislator list, worked. Every table sponsor's list gets a real ask to every name on it, and an honest status before the dinner. We promise the effort and the honesty, not the outcome.
- The truth about the program. If a level's recognition cannot be delivered as described, we tell you before you pay, not after.
Two kinds of people will read this letter
The first will nod, agree that this is a good room, and plan to "circle back" in January. Some of them will find the tables gone and the Title taken. They will get a polite email and a promise about 2028.
The second kind will click the button below, choose a level, send us the names of the two House members they most want to break bread with, and spend the next five months deciding who gets the other seats. On February 23, 2027, when the room in Round Rock sits down and the program reads the sponsor names out loud, their name will be one of them.
I hope you will be the second kind.

P.S. There is exactly one Title Sponsorship. It is not held for anyone. The first organization to claim it on the form has it, and the dinner carries their name in every mention, on every sign, and in every photograph taken that night.
P.P.S. February 23, 2027 is a session-year date. The 90th Legislature will be seven weeks in, with committees forming and bills still being filed. A table in that room, that week, is a different thing than a table in an off year.
P.P.P.S. The legislator request is worked in the order lists arrive. If there is one House member you want at your table above all others, the surest way to get the first ask is to be the first list on the desk.
P.P.P.P.S. In 2025, standard tickets sold out. Sponsors never wait on tickets. If you already know you are going, sponsoring is simply the version of going where the room knows you were there.
