FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
About scheduling, teachers, tests, and overseas planning,
start with the answers here.
01My work schedule is busy and unpredictable. Is Ambitious Learner suitable for me?
Yes. Our one-on-one online lessons are not limited by location or fixed schedules, so you can arrange classes around your calendar and practise speaking anywhere—ideal for busy professionals and entrepreneurs.
02I want stronger workplace English for meetings, presentations, and global communication. Do you offer a suitable course?
Yes. Our tailored Business English covers meetings, negotiation, writing, and reporting, plus cross-cultural communication to help you work more effectively with international teams.
03I do not only want to pass a test—I want to use English in daily life and travel. Is this right for me?
Absolutely. We believe English is not only for tests but for exploring the world. Everyday English and multicultural study experiences connect learning with real travel, shopping, and social situations.
04Can teachers provide professional support for IELTS, TOEIC, and other test goals?
Yes. We match teachers according to each course's needs, relevant teaching experience, and professional capabilities. IELTS courses are taught by instructors with IELTS teaching experience and suitable English proficiency, with practice planned around each learner's level and goals.
05I plan to study abroad or take a working holiday. Do you provide support beyond English lessons?
Yes. We combine language learning with overseas applications, visa guidance, résumé writing, mock interviews, and working-holiday programs such as English preparation for Australia's forklift licence test.
06How can I track my learning progress and results?
After every lesson, your teacher provides feedback and a progress report so you can see what has improved, what needs work, and the concrete value of each practice session.
07Can I trust the teaching quality and student feedback?
We match teachers according to each course's needs, relevant teaching experience, and professional capabilities. Course records, teacher feedback, and milestone reviews help learners understand their progress. You can also read real student stories on the website to learn about experiences from different backgrounds.
08What is Ambitious Learner?
Ambitious Learner is an English learning and international education brand that brings together one-on-one online English, study abroad in the Philippines and other countries, and working holiday planning. Besides online English courses, we help students compare overseas language schools and plan a learning path based on their English level, budget and goals.
09Should I choose study in the Philippines or online English?
If you want to build your English over the long term, start with one-on-one online English. If you want a lot of speaking practice and full immersion in a short time, consider studying in the Philippines. You can also build a foundation online first, then go to the Philippines for intensive training.
10Is studying in the Philippines suitable for English beginners?
Yes. Most language schools in the Philippines give a placement test first, then arrange one-on-one and group classes to match each student's level. Beginners can start with basic ESL, speaking, grammar and everyday English.
11Should I study in Cebu or Baguio?
Cebu offers more variety in schools and surroundings, from city-centre campuses to island resort-style ones. Baguio has a cooler climate, a more focused study environment and more Sparta and semi-Sparta schools. The right choice depends on the study intensity, lifestyle and course goals you want.
