I bought this balance pad to use with my standing desk at work, and I am very happy with it. My previous solution was a "Standee Anti Fatigue Mat," which I covered with a bath mat to add some more padding. I had been using the Standee mat + bath mat for two years. I typically stand at my desk for four hours a day, in two two-hour sessions.

In comparison this pad by itself is much thicker, much more comfortable on my feet, and makes me move more. I can stand longer and I am more active while standing. I am very happy with it. Note I weigh 265 pounds which definitely affects how well padded mats work for me. Even standing on one foot, this pad only compresses by maybe a third of its height, providing a nice supportive surface for my foot. It gives enough at the ball and heel to provide arch support to my feet. Removing the bath mat also improves the aesthetics of my solution.

The pad is very light and I just kick it under my desk when I switch to sitting, and pull it out with my foot when I stand - an improvement over the Standee mat which required two hands to place or remove.

I have no balance issues and have no trouble standing still on this; it's just a foam pad.

I wish I'd bought the X-Large size instead of the Large; it isn't quite as wide as I'd like for using my two-monitor setup.

I have recommended this to my coworkers who have standing desks.

I use this as a cushion on a piano bench for young students who need some lift for proper positioning. It works very well since it's so firm! Beware though, kids pick at them and leave little black specks on the floor. 🫠

I used this same thing at physical therapy, so I got this for home workouts. The foam is holding up well with daily use.  There are plenty of core strengthening exercises that can be done on this.  My favorite is holding a 10 lb kettlebell in one hand just dangling down to your side and raising knees alternating like marching in place, 20 reps and then switch to the other arm for 20 more.

It's seems lighter and more delicate than the one I used in PT. It does it job, but the corners break off too easily. I don't expect it to last very long. If you're stepping on it, don't wear shoes if you want it to last.
