Which AI agents work with AtAt?

Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor, Pi, Hermes, OpenCode, and Antigravity work out of the box, and you can add another CLI as a custom provider. AtAt also supports your own OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, or DeepSeek API key, plus local models through Ollama and Siri AI when Apple's on-device model is available.

Do I need an agent to use AtAt?

No. Without an agent, AtAt is still a full screenshot tool — ⌘⇧3, ⌘⇧4, and an all-in-one ⌘⇧5 with area, window, and scrolling capture, screen recording, and OCR — plus a searchable clipboard history on ⌘⇧V and a small action bar for any text you select. Connect an agent whenever you want to type `@@` and get an answer back.

Which apps does AtAt work in?

`@@` works in any editable, non-secure text field on your Mac: native apps, and text fields in the browser such as a Google Doc or a reply box on X. Password and other secure fields are never read, so it stays quiet there. TabTab's suggestions work in the same fields, terminals and code editors included. Selection actions appear in apps that expose mouse selections to macOS.

What stays on my Mac?

History, clipboard data, copied attachments, and settings stay on your Mac by default. Optional iCloud Sync is off until you enable it separately on each Mac; it uses your private iCloud container and iCloud Keychain, never an AtAt server. AtAt provides no capture cloud library. Copies kept in Favorites or attached as images to Session History join optional sync. Agent requests send prompts, supported attachments, and tool results to the provider you choose, and link previews contact linked sites. Siri AI runs on-device; Ollama connects locally, with any further traffic depending on your Ollama configuration and tools used during the task.

Does my work go through an AtAt server?

No. Prompts and context go directly from your Mac to the CLI, API provider, Ollama service, or Apple model you choose. A remote provider still handles what you send under its own privacy policy, but AtAt never sits between you and your agent.

Does AtAt collect usage data?

Usage reporting with a random installation identifier is on by default and can be turned off during setup or in Settings. The identifier associates events from the same installation until reporting is turned off. Reports contain fixed events, categories, counts, and timings—never prompts, file names, clipboard contents, captured pixels, OCR text, or agent output. Turning it off deletes queued reports and the random installation ID.

What does AtAt need to run?

AtAt requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 15 or later. Liquid Glass surfaces and controls require macOS 26 or later; macOS 15 uses standard translucent surfaces and controls. Siri AI requires macOS 26 or later and an available Apple Intelligence model, so it is grayed out and disabled on macOS 15. Other providers follow their own setup and model requirements. You grant only the system permissions needed by the features you use: Input Monitoring for the `@@` trigger, Accessibility for reading focus and inserting results, Screen Recording for captures, Finder Automation for Finder context, Microphone access for recordings with audio, and Camera access when you add yourself to a Studio Mode recording.

How do I install AtAt on my Mac?

Open atatapp.com/download and the disk image starts downloading on its own. Open it from your Downloads folder, drag AtAt into Applications, then launch it from Applications. Prefer Homebrew? `brew install --cask xinyao27/tap/atat` does the same install in one line. Neither needs an account or a payment card.

What happens after the 7-day trial?

Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or buy a lifetime plan. The trial itself needs no account or payment card. To buy, sign in to your AtAt account on atatapp.com — an email code, Google, or GitHub — and the payment provider identified at checkout handles payment; what you bought stays with that account. Purchases go through Dodo Payments; Paddle is retired for new sales. Earlier Paddle Lifetime licences and paid subscription time remain valid, and an existing Paddle subscription is not automatically transferred. Open Settings → Account on each Mac and sign in with the same email to unlock AtAt, on up to three Macs at a time. Every purchase includes a 30-day money-back guarantee; refunds are processed by the provider on the original invoice. For subscription changes or a Lifetime upgrade, open your account to review credit for unused paid time before confirming payment. If you started your trial while early-bird pricing was on, that price stays available to you until your trial ends.

Do the prices include taxes or VAT?

No. Listed prices exclude taxes. Depending on your country or state, applicable VAT or sales tax is added to the price and automatically calculated and displayed at checkout.

What happens to unused paid time when I change plans?

Monthly to yearly starts a new year immediately and deducts the unused part of your paid month; early-bird pricing does not apply to that switch. Yearly to monthly starts at your next renewal, so you keep your full paid year with no charge or refund today. For Lifetime, the unused part of your current period’s actual payment is deducted after any eligible Lifetime offer; earlier periods do not count. Review the quote before paying. The manual explains the calculation and refund rules.
