Helping homeowners make clearer decisions about their homes

You may already have ideas, inspiration images or drawings, but feel unsure about how they will work in your home.

We help you make sense of those ideas, understand what matters most and move forward with greater clarity.

An approach shaped around you and your home

Our work starts with you, not a fixed house style.

We help you explore what you like, what matters to you and how your home needs to support everyday life.

This might mean testing a layout, reviewing an idea, exploring how a space could be used, or helping you understand whether a proposal feels right.

Client Stories

The Canterbury house:

The starting point: Kim contacted us just after her planning application had been submitted. She was unsure how the architect’s design would work in practice and found it difficult to visualise the finished space.

How we helped: We created a 3D model of the proposed scheme, along with an alternative layout option for comparison. After comparing the options, Kim and her husband decided to make some internal changes to the plans.

They also considered a first-floor extension, which they decided against following discussions with their builder about cost. However, they adopted our suggested first-floor layout, using part of the hallway to create a larger bathroom without extending.

Kim’s Comments: “Overall, I would definitely recommend the service. The best part was being able to visualise the space we have, make the most of it, and ensure it works for us as a family. I would probably recommend using the service before planning permission is submitted.”

If you’re finding it difficult to picture your proposed space or want to explore other layout options, our Clarity and See it in 3D services can help.

The Welling house:

The starting point: Pat contacted us after spending hours trying to work out how to extend her house to better meet her family’s needs. She thought she needed to know what she wanted to build before meeting with us.

How we helped: Through a series of guided questions, we learnt how Pat and her family used their home: what worked, what didn’t and what she wanted to achieve.

We then developed a series of 3D models based on discussions and the family’s needs. This provided Pat with clarity over what a successful renovation would look like.

After assessing the options, Pat felt the difference an extension would make didn’t justify the cost. She decided she would rather put that money towards shared experiences with her family.

Inspired by an option that made use of the garden, Pat is now considering a multi-functional garden room.

Pat’s Comments:"I really enjoyed speaking with you both, it was a great experience to talk about my space in a way have not done before. The facilitation and visualisation meant that I was able to convey my thoughts and see in real time what the spaces mean to me."

If you know your house isn’t working but aren’t sure how to proceed, our Clarity and See it in 3D services can help.

Project Clarity

Project Clarity can help when you know something about your home needs to change, but you are not yet sure what the right next step should be.

Project Clarity helps you consider questions such as:

  • Do we need more space, or better use of the space we already have?
  • What do we actually want this project to achieve?
  • Should we proceed, pause or rethink the direction?

Focused Clarity

Focused Clarity can help when you have one specific design question or area of uncertainty.

Focused Clarity helps you consider questions such as:

  • Does this kitchen layout work?
  • Is there space for a dining table?
  • Does this entrance or façade feel right for the house?
  • Which option works better for us?

The focus is on one defined issue, rather than reviewing the whole project.

See it in 3D

See it in 3D can make spaces, layouts, options or design ideas easier to understand, helping you test how something may feel and work before making a decision.

See it in 3D helps you consider questions such as:

  • What will the space feel like?
  • How will furniture fit?
  • Will the proportions feel right?
  • Can we compare two options visually?

Your answers will help us prepare a fee proposal that suggests the most suitable route and sets out the scope and fee before any work begins.

If anything needs clarifying, we may suggest a short 15-minute call before preparing the proposal.

Common questions

Do I need to know exactly what I want before getting in touch?

No. You may simply know that something about your home is not working. The questionnaire helps us understand where you are in the process and what kind of support may be most useful.

Can I show you images, drawings or ideas I already have?

Yes. Images, sketches, existing drawings, Pinterest boards or examples of homes you like can all be helpful. We use these to shape our advice around you and your home.

Can you help if I already have drawings from someone else?

Yes. If you already have drawings, we can help you better understand how the proposal may look, feel and work in use. This might include exploring areas where you feel uncertain, visualising the proposal in 3D, or offering a different perspective on how the design supports you and your home day to day.

What if I struggle to visualise drawings or plans?

That is why we created See it in 3D. It helps translate drawings, plans and ideas into a format that feels easier to understand, so spaces, layouts and options become clearer.

Is this the same as full architectural drawings?

No. Our services are intended to support clarity and decision-making. They may include sketches, diagrams, 3D views or written advice, but they are not a substitute for a full architectural appointment, planning drawings, building regulations information or technical construction drawings.

What happens if we need more help afterwards?

Sometimes one piece of work leads to another question, small amendment or further area to explore. If you need more support, this can be agreed separately.
