LEGO DAFT PUNK confirmed for 2027!

CapnRex101 — Thu, 22 Oct 2026 14:15:00 GMT

Following a teaser yesterday, a partnership has today been announced between the LEGO Group and DAFT PUNK, to include an upcoming Ideas set! The press release follows:

Builders After All: The LEGO Group and DAFT PUNK announce partnership – blending worlds of music, culture and creative experimentation

Today, the LEGO Group and DAFT PUNK are proud to announce a new partnership that aims to inspire and remix fandoms, with the Daft Punk robots entering the LEGO universe. Spanning product, content and brand experiences, the collaboration celebrates the creativity and communities that have shaped the legacy of both brands.

To introduce the partnership, the two brands have unveiled a film on LEGO.com in which the duo’s minifigures follow a holographic red brick through what starts as a dark, mysterious landscape. As the robots arrive and step inside the “gates-of-play”, the holographic architecture starts to unfold and envelop them beat by beat, brick by brick, until we finally see the pair manning a LEGO brick-built console.

Review: 30762 Retro Video Game Batman

CapnRex101 — Thu, 22 Oct 2026 13:00:00 GMT

Batman has worn countless unique suits across his many appearances and despite the range of Batman minifigures available, lots of memorable bat-suits have not appeared in LEGO form. I am amazed the design from Sunsoft's Batman: The Video Game was deemed a priority.

30762 Retro Video Game Batman is definitely a departure from other versions of this character, however, given the vibrant lavender and purple colours. If nothing else, this is an interesting minifigure and one worthy of a closer look.

Benbacardi — Tue, 20 Oct 2026 14:00:00 GMT

The weather's getting chillier here in the northern hemisphere, and Christmas has taken over many of the shops, competing for space with Halloween which has still yet to pass! Of course, that means LEGO are also on the holiday bandwagon, with a myriad of Christmas-themed sets available.

One such set is 40866 Santa's Holiday Sleigh Adventure, a small festive playset with a familiar pair of minifigures and their four-legged friends who are so critical to Christmas Eve activities!

Review: 42682 Nature Glamping Cabin

MeganL — Mon, 19 Oct 2026 14:00:00 GMT

There's a subset of sets in this Friends wave that have to do with forest or autumn. 42682 Nature Glamping Cabin has neither the words "forest" or "autumn" in the set name, but I've been lumping it in the same grouping. I was not impressed with the last Friends glamping effort (41392 Nature Glamping), so here's hoping this one is a bit better.

Review: 72165 Umbreon vs. Garchomp Championship Battle

SetToBuild — Sun, 18 Oct 2026 13:00:00 GMT

A shark-dinosaur facing a fox-rabbit might seem like an unfair fight—but appearances can be deceptive! In this case, the smaller, more limber creature comes out on top simply by virtue of not falling apart during play.

This pairing of a large final evolution (Garchomp, evolved from Gabite, evolved from Gible…) with an Eeveelution mirrors the arrangement we already saw with Charizard vs. Jolteon. This time, it is accompanied by an impressive trophy: now you can become the very best.

Please note, this set does not contain a SMART Brick.

The LEGO Parts Guide: understand how LEGO really works

Huw — Sat, 17 Oct 2026 14:00:00 GMT

Tom Alphin's LEGO Parts Guide at his Brick Architect website has become an indispensable resource for those wanting to learn more about LEGO parts and especially for those who want to categorise, sort, and store their own collection of pieces.

A book based on the work he's done there, The LEGO Parts Guide, will be published next week. Tom says it began as a simple catalogue of LEGO parts, but grew into something much more powerful: providing readers a deeper understanding of how LEGO really works.

Read our exclusive interview with Tom to find out more...

PIzza is a staple of most teenagers' diets, and considering that's the demographic for Friends, I was surprised to see that there have been only four pizzerias in the Heartlake world. The latest pizza vendor is 42694 Pizza Truck.

The 18th Annual Creations for Charity event begins today

Huw — Thu, 15 Oct 2026 17:00:00 GMT

This year's Creations for Charity event has just begun. Organiser Nannan writes:

"From October 15 through November 30, you can purchase a custom LEGO creation and help raise money to donate LEGO sets to underprivileged children around the world!

"We’re also accepting MOC donations from builders of all skill levels throughout the fundraiser. Simply fill out a donation form on our website at creationsforcharity.org, and we’ll list your creation in the store. Once it sells, we’ll notify you with shipping instructions. Shipping and parts costs are reimbursable.

"Check back often, as new creations are added regularly! Keep in mind that nearly every creation in our store is one of a kind, so once it sells, it’s gone for good.

"As always, we look forward to welcoming new and returning builders and fans as we continue the LEGO community’s longstanding tradition of giving back during the holiday season!"

My advice is to check out the models available ASAP because, as you'd expect, the most desirable ones sell first!
