The CanBuilder Story

Will it fit?

The question every suppressor buyer asks, and that nobody could answer with confidence until now.

I’ve been selling suppressors since 2009. There’s one question I’ve been asked more than any other, and for most of those years I couldn’t answer it with confidence.

“Will it fit?”

A new customer walks into the shop. He’s done his homework, or thinks he has. He’s watched videos and read the forums, and he’s more confused now than when he started. He wants one can he can run on his AR, his hunting rifle, and maybe his pistol. Then the questions start.

  • What caliber rating
  • Direct thread or QD
  • Which mount
  • Which muzzle device
  • Does my pistol need a Nielsen device
  • What about tri-lug
  • Will brand A's mount take brand B's can
  • What's my thread pitch
  • Who has it in stock

You’re about to spend real money, and you want to be sure. You should be.

It isn’t only new buyers. I’ve been doing this a long time, and I still have to stop and check. Every month brings new manufacturers, new mounting systems, new muzzle devices and new “universal” standards that aren’t universal. Dealers are expected to know all of it, and nobody can. So we dig through spec sheets, call distributors, text friends in the industry and hope we get it right.

Getting it wrong costs more than a sale. It costs the customer’s trust.

The problemNobody had solved it

I went looking for the resource that would answer these questions, and it didn’t exist.

Search engines gave me forum threads from 2014. AI tools gave me confident answers that were wrong, and in this business wrong answers are dangerous. Manufacturer sites only cover their own products. Distributors only show their own inventory. Nobody connected the pieces.

Then there’s the marketing problem. If you make, distribute or sell suppressors, you already know it. Social media restricts us. Ad networks reject us. Most paid advertising won’t take our money. An entire legal, regulated industry has been left with almost nowhere to reach its customers.

So I decided to build it myself.

Almost a year laterCanBuilder

CanBuilder is the resource I’ve wished I had since 2009. It’s one place built to answer every question about suppressors, with more accuracy and detail than any search engine or AI can offer.

It took almost a year of late nights, bad data, corrections and rebuilds, with every bore diameter, thread pitch and mount checked, because in this industry close enough isn’t good enough.

The field

I think about Field of Dreams a lot. A man builds something nobody else could see, because he believed it belonged there.

This is my field. I built it for the new shooter who’s overwhelmed, for the dealer behind the counter who wants to get it right, and for the manufacturers and distributors who’ve been locked out of every other marketplace.

The field is built, the lights are on and the answers are here.

Now the question is yours.
