Smart Apps for M‑Files

Make M‑Files easier to use every day

Your people work in M‑Files, with Teams and Microsoft Office open beside it. Our add-ons give each job its own screen in M‑Files, and keep what people write there in the vault. Each one runs on every M‑Files edition, in M‑Files Cloud or on-premise.

Several CtrlDocs add-ons side by side: a CtrlPortals dashboard with figures and charts, a CtrlScout answer with a bar chart, a CtrlProcesses process map with a step open, the CtrlShare dialog for opening a document in Office or the browser, and a CtrlConnect card for an M-Files link in a Teams chat.

Every record gets the screen its job needs

CtrlPortals is set up around your own records, for quality, projects, sales or anything else in M‑Files. Open a customer, a project or a document and everything about it is on one page. Charts read the vault itself, and any bar opens the records behind it.

The Production bar of a CtrlPortals chart with its Draft part clicked, and below it the list of the six draft documents behind it, with their document type and owner.
The CtrlScout panel in M-Files answering the question How many documents do we have in each class with one sentence and a bar chart of documents by class.

Ask your vault in plain words

Ask how many there are, which ones or what has changed, and CtrlScout finds the records, counts and charts them, summarises the documents and drafts an email. An answer names the documents it read, and a count shows what it counted. It sees only what the person asking may see, and the AI model runs in Europe unless you choose otherwise.

Write it together in Microsoft Office

With CtrlShare, colleagues and people outside the company work on the same M‑Files document at the same time, in Microsoft Office on the desktop or in the browser. When they are done, it comes back to M‑Files as a new version, with its history and permissions.

The CtrlShare share dialog listing three people: two colleagues who can edit and an external contact from another company who can view, with Back and Share buttons.
The panel of the step Assess severity and contain beside a process map in M-Files, listing the complaint-handling procedure, a note on severity, the open complaints by severity and a link that starts a new non-conformance.

Show your people how the work is done

Process maps drawn in Elements.cloud appear in M‑Files, where people work from them. Each step leads to the approved procedure behind it, the cases still open and the form that starts a new one, so the work starts on the map.
