    How to play
    Daily Red Pokemon.

A free, unofficial daily 6v6 browser battle. Players on the same local calendar date get the same six level-100 Pokemon. Your goal: defeat all six of Red's Pokemon.

    1. Choose your lead

Open Team details to check types, abilities, items and moves. Browsing leaves your lead unchanged; use Lead with to choose. Red always starts with Pikachu.

    2. Pick your mode

Daily challenge gives one official attempt per local calendar day. Practice is unlimited, uses today's team and leaves your official record unchanged.

    3. Select, then confirm

Tap or click a move to select it. Read its description, then press Use [move name] to confirm your turn. You can also switch to another available Pokemon.

    4. Finish and return

Copy your result after the battle, or keep practicing. Official progress saves in this browser when storage is available. A new team arrives at midnight in your device's local time zone.

    Controls and switching

    • Touch or mouse: select a move, then press its Use button to attack. Selecting alone does not spend your turn.
    • Keyboard: use 1–4 or the arrow keys to select a move. Press Enter while a move is focused to confirm.
    • Switch: choose Switch, then an available teammate. A voluntary switch uses your turn; after a knockout, you must choose a replacement.
    • Menu: adjust sound or speed, read the Battle journal during a battle, or concede. Conceding an official attempt counts as a loss.

Gen III rules that change your choices

For damaging moves, type determines physical or special damage. Physical moves use Attack and Defense; special moves use Special Attack and Special Defense. The move's name can be misleading.

    Items, status and weather
    • Held items and abilities take effect automatically. Check them alongside move types: they can change damage, recovery or immunities.
    • Status moves such as Protect have their own effects. Power alone does not explain what a move can do; read its description.
    • Moves have limited PP. A move with no PP remaining is unavailable, so conserve important coverage during a long battle.
    • The snow in the mountain scene is decorative. Only weather created in battle, such as Sunny Day or Rain Dance, affects the fight.

    Red's team and battle tips

Red brings these six Pokemon in this version and always leads with Pikachu. Open a Pokemon's card for its moves, held item, ability and a matchup tip.

A Ghost Pokemon avoids Body Slam, but Shadow Ball can still hit it. Keep a physical attacker healthy, and account for Rest plus its Chesto Berry.

Sunny Day strengthens Fire attacks, weakens Water attacks and lets Solar Beam skip its charging turn. Consider the weather before relying on a Water matchup.

A Grass Pokemon still needs to account for Ice Beam. Protect can block an attack while Leftovers restores HP; keep an eye on your remaining PP.

Build a plan for the whole team, and preserve Pokemon that cover later threats. Practice lets you explore without changing your daily record, but fresh battle randomness means the same choices can produce different results. Frequently asked questions

    Rules, saves
    and daily resets.

What counts as an official attempt, where progress is saved, and when your next team arrives.

    What is Daily Red Pokemon?

It is an unofficial daily six-versus-six Pokemon browser battle using third-generation mechanics. Players on the same local calendar date receive six Pokemon drawn from a curated pool, one official attempt against Red, and unlimited practice.

Is it free and do I need an account?

The game is free to play in a modern browser. No account or download is needed. Your official record stays in this browser on this device.

Can I play more than once a day?

You get one official attempt per local calendar day in this browser. Practice is unlimited, uses the same daily team, and does not consume your official attempt or change your official record. Each practice battle uses fresh randomness, so it may play out differently from your official battle.

    When does Daily Red reset?

A new team and official attempt become available at midnight in your device's local time zone. Players on the same local calendar date receive the same six Pokemon. Open the game Menu to see the countdown to your next team.

    Can I resume after refreshing?

When browser storage is available, official progress saves as you play. Choose Resume official battle to continue after refreshing or reopening the game in this browser. An unfinished official battle can continue after midnight; the new team appears when you return to the team board. Practice battles are not saved.

Where are my progress and results saved?

Official progress, results and preferences are stored locally in this browser on this device. There is no account or cross-device sync. Clearing this site's browser data removes those records, and private browsing may discard them when the private session ends. If saving fails, the game displays a warning.

What happens if I concede a battle?

In an official battle, Menu > Concede battle asks you to confirm. Confirming ends your official attempt and records a loss for that challenge date; you can still practice. Conceding or leaving a practice battle does not affect your official record.

    Which battle rules are used?

This version uses Pokemon Showdown's Gen III Custom Game engine, including held items, abilities, status, PP and switching. Damaging moves are physical or special according to their type: Shadow Ball is physical, while Dragon Claw and Thunder Punch are special. Red leads with Pikachu and also brings Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. The snow in the artwork does not cause Hail.

Is this an official Pokemon game?

No. This is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK, or The Pokemon Company.
