Hiya,

I'm working on a project that I want to document in BrickLink Stud.io, and have been looking at the part 8018 - Cockpit 3 x 6 x 4 with Pin Hole, Inverted Studs on Back (see picture below), which is a new part from the Iron Man and His Awesome Friends line. It appears to be currently in the process of being added to LDraw, hence its absence in Stud.io.

I'd be happy to work on the part myself, but I've never interfaced with LDraw and don't really know where to start. Is there any chance that anyone would be willing to either help me get the part figured out and/or help me get started working on it myself?
Overall it seems improve the models accuracy, but recognizing the Arch 1x4 did not improve significantly with the synthetic images.
I suspect it has to do with my bricks not looking like the synthetic rendered ones from beneath.
Is this something that should be updated in the LDraw parts library?

Now that Minfig categories are done and implemented let's discuss Figure.

First: Do Minidolls need their own category?

Second: I think Figure should be similar to Minifig

Figure Head => Heads (of all types)
Figure Upper => Torso assemblies (of all types)
Figure Lower => Hip and leg assemblies (of all types including one piece molds like the mermaid tail)
Figure Leg => Legs (anything that connects to a hip piece)
Figure Hips => Hips (of all types, one piece molds that don't have, for example, movable legs should be in Lower)
Figure Arm => Arms (including arms with integral hands)
