Glucometer that is capable of using test strips from any brand of glucose meter. Steps done up to 8/12/16

Downloaded and installed MPLABX
Downloaded and installed XC8 (C-compiler)
Verfied PICkit3 can upload program to PIC
Blink test on PIC16F877A and PIC16F1786
16x2 LCD display working (first on 877A and now on 1786)
Nokia 5110 working great - need some additional functions still
Adding external EEPROM
