Installation

Download the archive for your platform below and extract it into a versioned Atomic installation directory.
Add that directory to your PATH.

macOS ARM64, Linux x86_64 glibc, and Windows x86_64 archives include the matching
Node-enabled library (libatomic.dylib, libatomic.so, or libatomic.dll) and
libatomic-runtime.json alongside the CLI. Keep these files together; moving only
the executable does not install the native runtime. The manifest records the
release version, source revision, target, Node-API version, and binary/descriptor
checksums. Other archives are CLI-only. Node/Electron compatibility beyond the
Node load smoke still needs consumer testing.

Download atomic-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip, extract all files into a versioned
installation directory, and add that directory to your PATH. Keep
atomic.exe, libatomic.dll, and libatomic-runtime.json together.

Persist the PATH change in your shell profile or Windows environment settings.
Install updates into a new versioned directory rather than overwriting a library
already loaded by an editor. CLI self-update does not yet update the library.
