Scientific Reports · Volume 16 · Article 4529 · 2026 Co-authored research validating a lightweight, privacy-preserving machine-learning system for detecting real-world social interactions using smartwatch audio features. I contributed to the design and implementation of the machine-learning models, including the deep-learning architecture evaluated in the study.
The system was validated against minute-by-minute human-coded ground truth across 153 hospitalized stroke patients, achieving strong performance even among participants with aphasia. |
