Helps cover full-time dev work, real hardware for testing, and keeping a 1999 iMac on the live web. Every coffee goes straight into MacSurf. Thank you, genuinely.

About

MacSurf is a native web browser for Classic Mac OS 9, built with CodeWarrior, QuickDraw, and Open Transport. Real CSS3, ES5 JavaScript, and native TLS 1.3 on PowerPC hardware that the modern web left behind. It's a full-time passion project right now, and it's been one of the most rewarding things I've ever worked on. If you want to see old PowerPC hardware back on the live web, I'm really glad you're here.

MacSurf

The web left Classic Mac OS behind two decades ago. HTTPS finished the job around 2016. MacSurf is an attempt to bring it back: a native browser fork of NetSurf, built with CodeWarrior 8, QuickDraw, and Open Transport, running the modern web on a machine that was never supposed to see it again.

Retro Surfer

$3 per month

You're helping keep this alive, and that means a lot. Your name goes in the MacSurf README supporter credits and gets baked into the binary itself, a credits entry running on real OS 9 hardware.

Carbon Surfer

$10 per month

You're genuinely fueling this thing. On top of the credits, you get the inside track: early release notes before they hit GitHub, private dev log posts where I share the real behind-the-scenes stuff, and a monthly poll where you vote on what gets prioritized from the actual backlog. File a bug? It goes on the short list for next session.

Platinum Surfer

$25 per month

This is the one for people who really want to see MacSurf work on their corner of the web. Twice a month I'll take your site and spend a focused session getting it to render as well as I can in MacSurf, tracking down bugs, applying workarounds, and writing up what I find. The results go public so everyone benefits. Plus everything in Power Mac.
