A great way to turn your pile of drafts in a pile of capital 'P' Poems! Improve poemy notes into ready-to-go, ready-to-submit polished pieces. Reading people's drafts and helping people improve is one of my favourite things to do and I'm so glad this is becoming a regular thing! With this monthly thang we look at making your poems the best they can be on their own terms using the style and beauty that's already there. I'll be here as experience to help with polishing and suggestions to make your words even more you. I can guide and make suggestions on technical aspects such as metre, rhythm, line breaks, form, register, and rhyme (or not to rhyme), but we can also discuss your style, your intention and the voice that you're wanting to craft. Included will be detailed notes on each poem suggesting changes with thorough explanation, alternative ideas and reading suggestions aimed at improving specific areas of your craft. The minimum price of this is very cheap - that's as most Word Space tickets are based on 'community pricing': the art and community is available to all because people who can afford to contribute a little more, pay to support people who can't right now. Please consider upping the price in poetry solidarity if you can : ) Honestly can't wait to read your poems and get started! Josh

This membership includes access to all Word Space workshops and the Jamboree Open Mic Social (9 events per month!), plus a 1-to-1 poetry feedback session, but more than that, it is an opportunity to become a supporting patron, to help make Word Space a truly sustainable, community arts project that's accessible for all for the long term. Word Space is my passion and dream. I adore doing it and seeing people bloom on stage around new friends after arriving as nervous secret 'phone note' poets is one of the most beautiful things in my life and one of the main reasons that I have continued and grown Word Space over the past two years. Accessibly priced ticketing and no external funding does however mean that there is a limit to how much I can give, and on lower days makes me question its longevity. Even just a small number of patrons who are willing to support in this way would make a monumental difference. It would allow more time to search for accessible venues, the planning of more community non-ticketed events, more collaborations with other organisations/charities, and the flourishing of our little community even further. Big love if you read this far. Sod it, big love anyway : )
