The Genus of NRJ

The Genus of NRJ

By Tom Evans

The creation of this platform was not planned. It just happened. These meditations were autobiographical seeds that I planted that caused it to come to be. I am sharing them with you so a similar transformation can unfold in your life.

Here are the five related guided visualisations that lead to the formation of New Reality Journeys

The creation of this platform was not on my plans for this year. If anything, I had envisaged slinking off into retirement and writing a series of three books to form my Magnum Opus. The first of which was published in June 2026 and is serialised as an audiobook exclusively on this platform.

So in January this year, I started writing, recording and publishing this interrelated series of musings that were somewhat autobiographical and I created them to get me out of a bit of a fug. I can tell from the feedback that they helped others similarly so I am sharing them for the first time here as one journey.

Two weeks after the publication of the last track, I got an email. Two months later, this platform came to be.

Alchemy of Rest | Yoga Nidra Support for Illness, Pain & Fatigue

Alchemy of Rest | Yoga Nidra Support for Illness, Pain & Fatigue

By Life Alchemy with Kelsea

Dear Friend,

This journey offers three longer yoga nidras (also called NSDR or non-sleep deep rest) to support you when your body needs extra care. If you're living with or recovering from illness or injury, or navigating pain, fatigue, or other difficult symptoms, this journey is for you. All of you is welcome here, just as you are, just as you’re feeling and just as your body is right now.

Yoga nidra has been so supportive of my own well-being while living with multiple complex conditions that I was inspired to train in offering it to others. These practices are especially near and dear to my heart, informed by my own experiences with chronic illness flare-ups, living with chronic fatigue and pain, and recovering from major medical procedures - and they’re designed to offer the unique support needed in each instance.

Each practice is voice-only (no background music or sounds), trauma-informed, and gentle, with plenty of options so you can meet yourself where you are. There is nothing to do, change, fix, or "get right." I invite you to simply rest back and receive the nourishment of yoga nidra. The practices differ in length and emphasis, so I encourage you to explore and notice which feels most supportive on a given day.

As always, please think of my guidance as suggestion, make any adaptations that serve you, and practice in whatever supported position feels best. If you drift off to sleep, that's likely exactly what you need. Know that you're receiving all of the benefits of the practice.

I’d love to hear about your experience with these yoga nidras and learn about how I can best support your needs. If a particular type of practice or an adjustment to what or how I offer these practices would be supportive for you, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you (either privately or in the comments below).

May this journey bring you comfort and support, and may you experience the alchemy of rest.

With Love & Care,

Kelsea

My definition of a (not boombastic) meditation style

My definition of a (not boombastic) meditation style

By Carl Munson

My preface and introduction to my very down-to-earth and practical meditation approach.

Meditation might seem straightforward, but upon delving into its depths, it becomes clear there's more than meets the eye. Or mind. Today, let's unravel what meditation encompasses and brush aside some prevalent misconceptions.

### My Definition of Meditation

Meditation, to me, isn't about halting the endless chatter of thoughts or being swept away by a tide of guided visualisations. Rather, it’s about stepping aside from the consistent mental evaluations and judgments, a faculty inherent to us all. The path I propose, especially through the Meditation Daily project, isn't rooted in erasing these thoughts but in gifting oneself moments of freedom from them, through transcendence - not force.

### The Misconceptions of Meditation

One pervasive thought is that meditation equates to the suspension of thinking, which is neither feasible nor the primary goal. On the other end of the spectrum, many meditate by actively engaging in guided visualisations - an exercise of imagination meant to evoke certain mental states. While this approach is valid, it doesn’t align with my personal view of meditation.

Interestingly, I recall being a young child, guided through a visualization by a visionary teacher. It demonstrated how certain practices can steer the mind into various states, like salivating at the mere notion of tasting something salty. This childhood memory exemplifies how visualization can condition us into new states, thus forging a connection with the traditional chants and serene mantras.

### The Mind: A Constant Thinker

Despite these varied methods, there's an undeniable truth: our Western mindset finds pseudo-tranquility through constant thinking. It's become a hallmark, almost a survival trait, to the extent where the mere notion of halting thoughts can spark anxiety. I once encountered a meditation participant who feared cessation of thought equated to non-existence - a perspective I'd counter by noting our continued existence during sleep-filled nights.

### A Different Direction

So, where does this lead us? My advocacy isn't aimed at perpetuating constant thought, nor is it a crusade against thinking altogether. Although, in practice, I do sometimes encourage thought-provoking techniques, and other times efforts that reduce thought. The essence of meditation, as I view it, is broader - it is about 'rising above' thought; about cultivating an expansive awareness.

### Practicing Awareness

To meditate, to 'my mind', is to nurture this awareness, to hone the capacity for observation and noticing, both within and outside the self. It's a practice of consistent effort, akin to discipline in any art or sport. Much like mastering any other skill, meditation too demands routine and dedication. Until it's unnecessary.

*The Takeaway*

As I share these insights, my main message is simple: practice awareness. Whether through scheduled times in 'Meditation Daily' or in the quietude of your own making, make the effort to develop a broader view. Dive into your own experience the liberation that comes with expanded awareness.

Lost at a Crossroads | Crow Animal Spirit Journey

Lost at a Crossroads | Crow Animal Spirit Journey

By Sagittarius Way

You are standing at a crossroads. The worry will not quiet, the doubt keeps growing, and you cannot tell which way to go. Crow has been waiting for you. This is the Crow chapter of the Animal Spirit pathway, one guide and three ways in, so you can begin wherever you need.

Start with the talk to understand: what Crow's visit means, how her medicine steadies you through change, the folklore from Japan's sacred Yatagarasu to the Lenape story of Rainbow Crow, and two remarkable facts about crow intelligence.

Continue with the guided journey to experience a sacred circle of Eagle, Fox, Owl, and Wolf, and a quiet forest clearing where Crow offers perspective rather than pressure.

Close with the blessing to carry with you, a short spoken reminder to trust yourself a little more. Press play on one, or follow the pathway through all three.

Once Upon A Dream

Once Upon A Dream

By Anne Lewis

This collection of gentle meditations originally created with children in mind, but can be enjoyed by absolutely everyone. Through soothing stories, imaginative journeys and moments of quiet, they offer a chance to slow down, relax and let the day gently drift away.

There is something wonderfully comforting about allowing ourselves to be guided by imagination — to wander into magical places, follow a story, and simply be carried along without needing to think or do.

Perhaps that is because there is a child who lives within each and every one of us. A part of us that still knows how to wonder, imagine, dream and find joy in the simplest things.

So whether you are a child, a grown-up, or simply someone who would like to reconnect with their inner child, these meditations invite you to get comfortable, close your eyes, take a gentle breath… and let yourself drift into a peaceful world of rest and dreams.

Temple Breeze

Temple Breeze

By James Anthony Walker

Enter a sacred space where incense rises, temple bells drift through the air, and a gentle breeze carries the sweet fragrance of nag champa through the stillness.

Temple Breeze begins with a short visual meditation—an invitation to cross the threshold, slow your pace, and enter the atmosphere of the temple. From there, the Journey opens into a two-hour ambient soundscape designed for rest, meditation, reflection, or simply being present.

There is nowhere to arrive, and nothing to accomplish.

Only smoke moving through light, bells sounding in the distance, and the quiet breath of the temple around you.

The Yoga Sūtras: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life

The Yoga Sūtras: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life

By Leslie DMello

The Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali are one of the great maps of the human mind.

Written almost two thousand years ago, these short teachings explore questions that remain remarkably relevant today: Why does the mind become restless? Why do we get caught in patterns of thought and emotion? What does practice really mean? And is it possible to experience a deeper freedom beneath all of this mental activity?

In this Journey, we explore the Yoga Sūtras one teaching at a time.

Rather than approaching the text simply as ancient philosophy, each track brings the Sūtras into everyday life — connecting their wisdom with our habits, emotions, relationships, identity and inner experience.

You do not need to know Sanskrit, practise yoga postures or have any previous knowledge of yoga philosophy. Each teaching is explained with practical reflections that allow you to explore what the Sūtra might mean in your own life.

Beginning with Patañjali’s opening teachings, we gradually uncover a remarkable psychology of awareness, practice and transformation.

You can listen sequentially as a continuing study of the Yoga Sūtras, or return to individual teachings whenever one speaks particularly strongly to where you are in life.

This is not simply a Journey through an ancient text.

It is an invitation to understand your own mind more deeply — and perhaps discover the stillness that has always been there beneath it.

Moonlit Reflections

These prompts are inspired by New Moon and Full Moon cycles and the themes associated with each zodiac sign. However, journaling is not limited by the calendar. You are welcome to return to any of these sessions whenever the theme speaks to you, whether during the corresponding moon phase, months later, or even years from now. Each step explores universal human experiences—home, purpose, courage, relationships, healing, creativity, abundance, intuition, and transformation. Morning Clarity - Morning Sound Bath To Wake Up With a Clear Mind

Morning Clarity - Morning Sound Bath To Wake Up With a Clear Mind

By Kristof Lambregts

Start your morning with clarity. Not with notifications or noise, but with sound that slowly wakes your mind and gives your day a clear foundation.

What we do in the morning already decides how we will experience the day. So I invite you to not check your messages, and certainly not your social media. Just wake up and allow your nervous system to shift from sleep to wake in a slow and mindful way.

These morning sound baths are designed as a simple morning ritual: a few minutes of stillness before the world around you picks up pace. You can choose one of the sessions in this journey as a standalone practice or listen to the entire journey, one session each day.

You can repeat this as often as you like.

The bowls guide you into a state of calm, wakeful clarity, feeling present and grounded before the day begins.

For the full resonance of the bowls, listening with headphones gives you the best experience.

Tongue Drum for Beginners

Tongue Drum for Beginners

By Alicia Mott-Comitto

This journey will cover basic music principals as they relate to the tongue drum. We will be working with a C-Scale tongue drum** (most standard beginner tongue drums are C instruments, but you should make sure your instrument is compatible).

We will go over the "musical alphabet" and how it relates to your instrument. I will teach you to label your instrument, identify the tones on it, and then use those tones to improvise for meditation. In the last session of the journey, we will do a sound meditation together, using the tongue drum as our guide. This will be an opportunity for you to play along, implementing what you've learned, and vocalize along as the meditation progresses.

I can't wait to meet you and see you in class!

**You must have your own tongue drum to enjoy this course to its fullest, as we will be learning to play this instrument with the ultimate goal of using it in personal meditation.

Growing the Forest

Growing the Forest

By Linda Wheeler

Discovering the Strength of Connection, Belonging, and Shared Growth

A tree may appear to stand alone, but beneath the surface, its roots are connected to a living community that shares nourishment, strength, and support.

In Phase Four, Growing the Forest, the journey expands beyond personal transformation into connection with others. Having planted the seed, learned to walk the path, and begun embodying the strength and wisdom of the tree, you are now invited to discover what becomes possible when you no longer feel that you must grow or move beyond pain alone.

Through reflections on belonging, shared roots, compassionate presence, and collective wisdom, this phase will help you recognize both the support available to you and the quiet strength you offer others. You will explore how your experiences can create understanding, how your presence can become a place of safety, and how healing can deepen when it is held within connection.

Growing the Forest is a reminder that transformation does not end with the individual. As one woman grows stronger, she creates space for another to rise. Together, our roots deepen, our branches reach farther, and we become part of something greater than ourselves.

We grow stronger together.

Breathless & Becoming

Breathless & Becoming

By Bill Kirst

Songs Finding Their Voices

Breathless & Becoming is a collection of original lyrics written by a man who sees the world through a songwriter's eyes. A poet is but songwriter in a different hat. Each song begins with words on a page, always handwritten, then crosses into unfamiliar territory as it is transcribed into a tool powered by Generative AI to explore melody, voice, rhythm, arrangement, and sound. The voices are synthetic, and the melodies always arrive through deep collaboration with machine learning. The stories, emotions, questions, and words originate from one man's lived human experience.

This is not a finished inspiration for an EP or record. It is more like a living songbook: to see what the words could become someday. Some artist will someday whisper these alive. Some hearts will ache when listened to someday.

Breathless & Becoming documents an apprenticeship in real time. It explores what emerges possible when someone who has spent years writing poetry and lyrics can suddenly trace the phantom echoes of imagined melody brought close enough to touch. Note: AI will never substitute the songwriter and instead sits as an instrument in the box of those at our feet. Perhaps for discovery or inspiration or a way of shortening the distance between imagination and audition. Always in hope that the lyric written in silence finds its way home to a harmony and eventually human worthy of singing it and adopting it.

Yin Yoga for Beginners

Yin Yoga for Beginners

By Jessica Inman

An introduction to the practice and theory of yin yoga.

Yin yoga is a slow practice where postures are held passively for several minutes to stretch into the fascia and connective tissue. Throughout the course, we'll be exploring the many benefits that yin yoga can bring us on every levle, along with some philosophy and theory around the practice. In each session, we'll learn a new posture and we'll put them all together at the end into a longer sequence.

You'll learn how and why to practice yin yoga and understand what's happening in your body as you practice. You'll also learn some yin yoga postures which you can continue to work with into the future.

You will need a yoga mat, and you might find it helpful to have some other props too. Yoga blocks are great, but cushions or pillows can also be used and blankets are always handy.
