This article aimed to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of emerging technologies used in vaginal rejuvenation, with an emphasis on comparing radiofrequency devices and ablative lasers such as CO₂ and Er:YAG. To this end, a narrative literature review was carried out, with a systematic bibliographic search in the PubMed, Scopus, BVS, and Google Scholar databases, covering publications from 2016 to 2024. Primary, observational, and review studies presenting objective clinical data on the efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of action of the technologies analyzed were included. The results show that both radiofrequency and ablative lasers can significantly improve the structure and function of vaginal tissue, with a positive impact on lubrication, elasticity, sexual function, and symptoms of genitourinary syndrome of menopause. Additionally, lasers demonstrated promising therapeutic effects in cases of mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence. However, the review also identified safety concerns, highlighting the lack of specific regulations, scarcity of long-term clinical trials, and the importance of proper professional training. It is concluded that, despite the notable therapeutic potential, the adoption of these technologies requires caution and continuous monitoring to ensure sustained efficacy and minimize risks.
