Catch the moment you start adding meaning.
Escape exhaustion and burnout, and stop getting triggered back in. With a calm nervous system, find the Second Act of your life. Your next chapter: the book, the brand, the business, or just the space. This time, it’s for you.

You might arrive burnt out, but unable to stop.
Overwhelmed, with everything feeling urgent.
In perimenopause or menopause, wondering if this is just how it is now.
Reacting in old ways, bigger than the moment deserves.
Or living a life that looks fine and no longer fits.
What happens.
Life keeps triggering us, until we’re knocked into Survival Mode. We lose ourselves putting out fires and taking care of everyone else, and our dreams get buried.
First, we calm your system.
So it stops falling into Survival Mode. Detriggering is one of the methods we use.
Then we go and get it back.
The life you left behind.
You do not need fixing. You need access to yourself again, and to what you still want.
The business. The book. The training. The move you keep putting off.
You may be capable, successful and outwardly composed, while using enormous energy simply to keep everything together. That is not a flaw of character. It is a nervous system still running survival long after the danger has passed. The Shift is the work of recognising that state, and returning to the one beneath it.
Catch the moment you start adding meaning.
Hear what the meaning is trying to tell you.
Interrupt your pattern. Don't act. Wait.
Find information from a completely clean place.
Now act, from here.
Not a theory to remember. A sequence you can use when it matters.
Explore the full methodJudith runs a free live workshop: one hour to learn how to calm your state, talk to your subconscious and take the meaning back out, live. You’ll also leave with a free ten-minute meditation, Releasing the Trigger.
This is where the work begins: interrupting the patterns that make it hard to hear what you want, so there’s room to choose what comes next.

The Shift method, live with Judi. The triggers come out, the nervous system settles, and the dream that got parked goes out into the world. A cultivated group. Everyone in the group has had a call with me first.
One woman is becoming a death doula. Another, in her seventies, is writing a book for women in their later years. Another left a high-powered job, started her own business, and now earns four times what she did each month, on her own terms. Every Second Act is different.
“I know exactly what my purpose is, and I know I have to do it. There’s nothing standing in my way.”Brucella
“My lust for life came back, and I was shocked that actually I’d lost my lust for life and I’d lost myself, so you just literally put me back on track.”Georgina
Two decades in front of the camera taught Judith how completely your inner state shapes what you do. The Shift is what she built from it, and what she now teaches.
Judith Shekoni is a British actress, author and creator of The Shift. Over two decades telling other people's stories on screen (Twilight, Maleficent, Heroes Reborn) before she rewrote her own: from an outwardly successful life still governed by survival, to something steadier underneath.
Leaders across film, sport, art and business on what shifts when the state changes.
The Shift gave me practical ways to regulate my nervous system, stay centred in difficult conversations, and lead from clarity rather than react. Tools I now draw on across every part of my life.
SOIt's given me the confidence to value myself more highly, ask for what I deserve, and show up with greater authenticity in both my personal and professional life.
KBJudi has this rare, precise ability to look at a person's narrative, hold space for them, and completely reframe how they see their own power.
RTThe implementation of Judi's techniques has an immediate and palpable impact, like a pressure-release valve.
DRStrip away those false barriers and the question becomes: who am I, and who could I actually be? These small revelations can dramatically alter the trajectory of a life.
MIEssays and field guides on how Survival and Sovereignty move through thought, love, money, guilt and the self.
A trigger is when something happens that brings up an old feeling you haven't processed. Your body holds unprocessed feelings, and they rise to the surface when something similar happens again. That's why your feelings are bigger than the event. How a trigger turns into Survival Mode.
If you get triggered often, your system doesn't have time to recover and gets stuck in that heightened state. That is Survival Mode. Your system can't allocate appropriate energy to appropriate things, so it treats everything as an emergency.
You're easily triggered by anything: your child being slow, the car in front stopping, the people in the queue. You live off adrenaline. You're wired and frantic, you can't relax or sleep, and there's little space or time in your life. Everything feels urgent, you battle each day, and nothing really gets done. All twelve signs.
From both sides. First, you learn to Detrigger, so you can get out of a triggered moment fast and back to yourself before you get stuck in Survival Mode. Then you heal the system underneath, so the things that used to trigger you stop landing the way they did.
Detriggering is taking away the meaning you have attached to a moment, so you get out of a triggered moment fast and back to yourself. At The Shift, you Detrigger with the five S.H.I.F.T. steps: Spot, Hear the old meaning, Interrupt, Find information and Take Action.
The Shift is a method created by Judith Shekoni. We teach you about triggers so you can notice yours and catch them in the moment. We teach you how to Detrigger. We show you how to heal your system so you are not triggered by things. Then we take the new calm, sleeping, happy you and resurrect the dream that got buried under the constant loop of tension, anxiety and stress.

Capable people who look composed but spend enormous energy holding everything together. Lots of people Judith works with have built a lot from difficult beginnings or faced some trauma in their lives. But equally, a high-stress job, or a difficult home life and relationships, can lead to wanting to Detrigger and calm your nervous system. The key is the desire to have more peace of mind at will.
No. The Shift is personal development and education, not therapy or medical treatment. It works with everyday triggers and your own history. If you are living with serious trauma or struggling with your mental health, work alongside a qualified professional and speak to your GP. Therapy and The Shift work well together. Like anything, therapy goes faster when you know exactly what you want to heal. That's what this work gives you.
