After two years in development, #SvelteKit has finally reached 1.0! As of today, it's the recommended way to build #Svelte apps of all shapes and sizes. We can't wait to see what you're building with it!
I really wish this myth would finally die.
Svelte, Solid, Remix - so much good stuff out there, often the better option for you needs. And with AI it's really not hard to switch.
I think it's a mistake to think AI is "good at React" because it is trained mostly on React.
If we're just going off of what the labs have trained the most on it might be time to go back to jQuery.
Tanstack Charts looks pretty cool but I've gotta say that for Svelte, LayerChart will remain my go-to. Battle tested, unbelievable breadth and depth, intuitive API - you should give it a try!
We would never do this for Svelte. If we would have, we would have lost out on a fantastic new maintainer, Nic, who is extremely AI pilled but using it thoughtfully and producing stellar results.
A framework like Svelte will always want humans to collaborate, it's in our DNA.
Due to AI, I have disabled external pull requests on all my repos.
Open source, as we have known it, was fun while it lasted. (It’s been 15 years for me)
I will still maintain projects and handle issues.
SvelteKit 3 is out!
Better environment variable handling, better error messages and sensible breaking changes with an easy upgrade thanks to our migration script which handles many things automatically and gives you(r agent) a nice Todo list for the rest
