Beach impacts from an offshore storm will subside later this week as the breeze eventually relaxes. Temperatures trend cooler into the weekend before a warmup early next week.

Tonight will be mainly clear and breezy, but windier near the water. Tomorrow will be breezy with sun and some high clouds, but more clouds on Long Island and still windy at the shore with coastal issues continuing (rough surf, beach erosion) as gusts reach 30mph+ at the coast.

The northeast breeze will be a fixture through tomorrow and even Thursday on the outer periphery of an offshore storm, windier near the water with gusts over 30mph at times.

Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect for Ocean County with up to a half foot of inundation in spots during high tide later today. Additional elevated high tide cycles are likely beyond tonight as an offshore storm sends rough surf and a gusty northeast wind to the coastline.
