i wish npm cli could send package publish payloads in length-prefixed frames, like wpm does.
manifest length, manifest, tarball. then just stream it through.

i just made @trywpm registry open source.
it's a package registry, built on cloudflare workers, and i'm pretty happy with how fast it is.
in the last 24 hours, it handled ~3.5k read/write requests with an average cpu time of ~4ms per request.
and these aren't tiny payloads
