What I do

Four services. All by hand.

Every one of them done by me, start to finish.

Brings tired paint back to life. Swirls, haze and light scratches get leveled out by hand, not covered up.

  • Swirl marks
  • Water spots
  • Faded or dull paint
  • Light scratches
More on paint correction

Locks in the shine and protects the paint for years. Water beads right off and the car stays easier to keep clean.

  • Deep gloss
  • UV protection
  • Easier washing

More on ceramic coating

Foggy, yellowed headlights brought back to clear, then sealed with a UV ceramic coat so they stay that way.

  • Foggy lenses
  • Yellowing
  • Better night visibility

Key marks, scrapes, car-wash and garage-door scratches, worked down by hand until they are near invisible.

  • Sideswipes

The fingernail test: run your nail across it. If it doesn't catch, a polish takes it out. If it catches a little, that's this. If it catches deep or you can see primer, that's a body shop job, and I'll tell you so.

Revive · Paint Correction

It starts under the surface.

Before a polisher touches the paint, it gets washed, iron-decontaminated and clayed. Then the real work begins, measured in thousandths of an inch.

Shine · About Me

I didn't learn paint from a video. I learned it on the shop floor.

I'm Ben. Nine years in a body shop taught me how paint is built, how it breaks down, and how to bring it back. Now it's my name on every car: evenings and weekends, one car at a time, and nobody touches it but me.

My name is on the line; I'm not just another detailing company.

Feynlab ceramic coating bonds to freshly corrected paint and becomes the layer that takes the abuse, so your clear coat doesn't have to.

No protection: the clear coat takes every hit
Cutaway illustration · layers not to scale

Without it, your clear coat takes every hit. With it, the coating becomes the shield, and everything that would have damaged your paint hits the coating instead.

  • UV raysStop at the coating, so the color underneath doesn't fade and oxidize.
  • Rain & water spotsWater beads up and rolls off helps with drying and preventing water spotting.
  • Road grimeCan't bond to the surface, so it rinses off with a normal wash.
  • Bird droppings & bugsCan etch on the clear! Ceramic take the hit, which buys you time to wipe them off.
  • Road salt & brineNebraska winters come with heavy salt. It sits on the coating, not eating into your clear coat, and rinses off with a breeze.

Honest note: a coating won't stop rock chips. What it does is keep a corrected finish looking like the day it was finished.

What is ceramic coating?

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to your vehicle's exterior that chemically bonds with the paint. It creates a durable, hydrophobic layer that repels water, dirt, UV rays, and chemicals — keeping your car cleaner longer and protecting the paint for years.

Do you offer mobile detailing in Omaha?

Yes. Headlight restoration and hard scratch repair are fully mobile across the Omaha metro and Council Bluffs, IA — I come to you. For ceramic coating or full paint correction, the vehicle is dropped off so the work can be done properly in a controlled environment.

How do you choose the right correction stage?

It depends on the severity of the defects in your paint. Stage 1 handles light swirls and minor scratches on newer vehicles. Stage 2 is for embedded scratches and swirls on vehicles with more wear. Stage 3 is for severe damage, deep scratches, and vehicles needing a showroom-perfect result.

Do you do interiors?

Interior detailing is not currently a core service. I focus exclusively on paint correction, ceramic coating, headlight restoration, and scratch repair to ensure the highest quality on every job. Reach out to discuss your specific needs.

How long does a ceramic coating job take?

It depends on the coating and the amount of paint correction needed. A single-stage correction with ceramic coating typically takes around 6 hours. Multi-stage correction plus coating can take a full day or more.

What areas do you serve?

Ben Buffing serves Omaha, NE and the surrounding metro including Bellevue, Papillion, La Vista, and Elkhorn, plus Council Bluffs, IA across the river. Available weekday evenings and weekends.

How do I take care of my ceramic coating after?

Every job comes with a full aftercare guide. Key points: avoid washing for 7 days after application, use pH-neutral soaps, avoid automatic car washes with brushes, and use a ceramic-safe detailer spray between washes.
