Universal Design for Learning (UDL) helps teachers build on students’ strengths, incorporate supports into everyday planning, and provide multiple ways for students to demonstrate what they know. In this video, educators across FCPS share how summer UDL workshops equipped them with tools to make instruction more accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for every student.
Every great school depends on people working behind the scenes to make learning possible. Across FCPS, custodians care for more than 29 million square feet of school and office space, creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments where students can learn and educators can focus on what they do best. But their impact goes far beyond maintaining our buildings. FCPS custodians take pride in their schools, build relationships with students and staff, support one another, and help create the sense of community that makes a school feel like home. Hear from the custodians who do this essential work and the colleagues who see their dedication every day. Their work is a reminder that excellence in education takes all of us working together toward one goal: creating opportunities for every student to thrive.
