Managed Identity Resilience (MIR) for Active Directory & Entra ID

About us

Working with national and global organizations, we found three common challenges: • Security posture is often overestimated. • The business impact of a cyber breach is underestimated. • Security teams are expected to do more with limited budgets and resources. Founded in 2018, CyberDNA is an Australian-owned cybersecurity company delivering automation-led, expert-driven security outcomes. We help organizations reduce real breach risk through managed resilience services backed by continuous monitoring, remediation, and security expertise. Our Managed Resilience Services 🛡️ Managed Identity Resilience (MIR) – Our flagship managed service that continuously reduces Active Directory and Entra ID breach risk through identity hardening, monitoring, remediation, and response. ☁️ Managed Cloud Resilience (MCR) – Identifies and removes exploitable cloud risks across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. 📧 Managed Email Resilience (MER) – Protects Microsoft 365 email environments by reducing email-based threats and misconfigurations. 🌐 Managed Brand Resilience (MBR) – Monitors and protects your external digital footprint against impersonation, exposed assets, and brand-related cyber threats. 🤖 Managed AI Resilience (MAI) – Helps organizations adopt AI securely through governance, visibility, and risk reduction. Additional Services • Cybersecurity Consulting & Advisory • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) • Incident Response • Penetration Testing & Security Assurance • Identity & Cloud Security Engineering • Managed Security Services Follow us for practical cybersecurity insights, identity security strategies, and real-world guidance for CISOs, IT leaders, and security teams. 🌐 www.cyberdna.com.au 📺 YouTube: www.youtube.com/@CyberDNAOfficial 📧 info@cyberdna.com.au 📧 sales@cyberdna.com.au 📞 +61 3 9454 3999

  • Two lists. What identity dashboards usually measure: MFA coverage Number of privileged accounts Password age Accounts without recent sign-in What attackers work with: Group memberships Permissions on objects Delegated rights Service account credentials App ownership and role assignments The first list is hygiene. It matters. The second list is where paths form. Good identity security needs both. But only one of them tells you how far a compromised account could get. Which list does your reporting cover today? • Most organisations manage identity access. Very few manage identity risk. There is a difference. Identity risk is not a single event. It compounds. A stale account does not get cleaned up. Excess permissions are never removed. No one is running a continuous review. And then an attacker finds the gap. The breach path is not a mystery. It is a sequence of unmanaged exposures that accumulated quietly -- between audits, between projects, between reviews. This is what identity risk looks like in practice: 1. Stale accounts -- identities that were never offboarded 2. Excess permissions -- roles that grew unchecked over time 3. Undetected drift -- no continuous review to catch what changed 4. Exploited -- an attacker identifies the gap 5. Breach path -- the environment is compromised MIR closes each of these gaps on a continuous basis -- not once a year, not after an incident. • Three findings from an identity review. 1. A stale account that was never disabled. Rated low. 2. A group nested inside another group. Rated medium. 3. A shared server where that group has local admin rights. Rated medium. Reviewed one at a time, each goes on the backlog. Reviewed together, they may connect a forgotten account to a server where a privileged user signs in. That's the problem with isolated findings. They describe pieces. Attackers use the whole chain. Where would a chain like this hide in your environment? • What happens in the first five minutes of an identity breach? A compromised identity can quickly become a path towards higher privileges across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID. But what does that attack path actually look like? Join us for the next Cyber Vanguard Executive Workshop, where we'll break down what can happen in those critical first five minutes. You'll see: • How attackers can move from initial access to higher privileges • Where identity attack paths can hide across AD and Entra ID • Common identity weaknesses that can create attack paths • A live attack path demonstration • How to prioritise the identity risks that matter 📅 21 October 2026 🕐 1:00 PM AEDT | 10:00 AM Manila 💻 Live on Microsoft Teams Led by Marco Afzali, Founder of CyberDNA. Important: Clicking "Attend" on this LinkedIn Event does not complete your workshop registration. • We've been spending a lot of time on one idea lately: attack paths. On 21 October, the second Cyber Vanguard executive workshop looks at what happens in the first five minutes after an identity is compromised, and how one ordinary account can connect to something much bigger. We'll cover where identity exposure hides in Active Directory and Entra ID, follow an example path live, and talk about how to prioritise what matters. Sixty minutes, built for CIOs, CISOs and the teams who run identity. • Your identity report probably looks like a list. Accounts. Groups. Roles. Findings, sorted by severity. Lists are useful. They're also flat. They can't show that a medium-rated finding in one place sits one step away from a high-value target somewhere else. An attacker doesn't read the list. They look at the map. Which accounts belong to which groups. Which groups hold rights over which systems. Which systems privileged users touch. Same environment. Very different view. If your team could have only one of the two, which would you choose? • Most organisations know they have cloud exposure. Very few can answer a more important question: how quickly do you remove it? That gap — between finding risk and closing it — is where breaches live. A Cloud Exposure Assessment with CyberDNA gives you: - A clear map of your highest-risk cloud exposure across environments - Prioritised findings by exploitability and blast radius - A baseline removal timeline — so you know your current velocity - A 30-day view of where your cloud risk actually sits This is not a generic audit. It is a focused engagement built around giving you the answers that matter: what is exposed, how severe is it, and how quickly can your team close it. Most teams that complete a Cloud Exposure Assessment find exposure they were not tracking — and discover their removal timeline is longer than they assumed. Knowing that is not a problem. Not knowing it is. Book a Cloud Exposure Assessment to understand your cloud risk in 30 days. https://lnkd.in/gZSSCpTw #CloudSecurity #CloudExposure #MCR #ManagedCloudResilience #CyberDNA #ExposureAssessment #CloudRisk #CloudResilience

  • 9:02am. A finance officer's credentials are used by someone who isn't the finance officer. No admin rights. No access to core systems. On paper, a low-risk account. Then someone asks a different question: what is this account connected to? It's a member of a group that's nested inside another group. That group has rights over a shared server. That server is where a support engineer with elevated access signs in. Each link looks reasonable on its own. Together, they form a path. The account was never the risk. The connections were. What does your equivalent of the finance officer's account connect to? Announcing Workshop #2 in The Cyber Vanguard Executive Workshop Series: What Happens in the First 5 Minutes of an Identity Breach. On 21 October, CyberDNA founder Marco Afzali will follow an attack path live and show how one ordinary account can connect to something far more valuable. Built for CIOs, CISOs and the teams who run identity. • Not hacked. Just left open. Your cloud provider secures the infrastructure. You configure who can reach what's stored inside it. A single storage bucket or access policy left too permissive doesn't get hacked — it gets found. There's no malware. No phishing email. No alarm to trip. Just data, visible to anyone who goes looking, while your dashboard shows a perfectly clean bill of health. If your cloud controls stop at "is the provider secure?", configuration drift is the gap nobody's watching.
