  • You've made the AI investment. Now it's time to make sure your AI can see how your fundraising actually works. In his new article, our Chief Product Officer, Hemant Kashyap, explains why configuration matters more than ever for advancement teams on Salesforce: "AI agents operate on metadata. Configuration is self-describing by construction. It tells an agent what it is. Apex doesn't." His example: a pledge write-down rule buried in custom code. "The rule still fires; the agent just can't account for it." The takeaway, in Hemant's words: "The heavier your customization layer, the less return you get on the AI platform investment you just made." Read the full article and see what it means for your team 👇

AI made writing code cheaper, but writing the code was never the expensive part of a custom fundraising CRM; testing, maintenance, and falling behind the latest releases are. Heavy customization also hides your business rules from the AI agents you’re investing in, while configuration tells them exactly what your data means. My take on why “buy, configure, then build only what differentiates you” matters even more now, from our work at Kindsight

  • Community foundations work in two directions at once: bringing donors and fundholders in, and moving grants out to the nonprofits their communities rely on. Too often, that work happens across systems that were never built to talk to each other. Today we’re introducing Kindsight for Foundations, a new solution that brings grantmaking, fundholder engagement, and grantee collaboration together in one connected experience. It includes: - Grants management built into Ascend, from intake to reporting - A Fundholder Portal for self-service fund access and grant recommendations - A Grantee Portal for nonprofits to apply, track status, and report in one place The solution was shaped by years of work alongside community foundations and builds on decades of helping large fundraising organizations run complex, high-volume operations on a single platform. Early access opens in early 2027. Get a first look at TAG2026, November 10–13. 👉 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gBwdRVpR

When a university plans a capital campaign or a hospital system courts a major donor, its fundraisers often work across a patchwork of disconnected tools. Hemant Kashyap wants to bring those capabilities into one place. As Chief Product Officer at Kindsight, Kashyap oversees products that universities, hospital systems, museums and other large nonprofits use to discover, engage and build relationships with donors. • Mid-level donors, those who give consistently but sit right below your major gift threshold, are key for sustainable growth. October is the perfect window to engage before they’re inundated with holiday appeals. For our VP, Cherian Koshy, crafting the right narrative is critical for success. Engage donors with a story that builds emotional connection and calls them to finish the story. When you ask for their support in December, they’ll need to be a part of what comes next.

  • Nonprofit teams do emotionally challenging work, often with limited resources, year round. And that workload can feel particularly heavy by year-end, sometimes to the point of burnout. Recent statistics show that the vast majority of nonprofit leaders are concerned about burnout and impact on their  employees, mission, goals, and communities. Learn the signs of nonprofit burnout, how to address the issue, and get strategies for prevention in our blog → https://lnkd.in/gK-JEKWF
