Language carries more than words. It carries identity, culture, history and connection. This year netQ NZ marked Te Wiki o te Reo Māori bigger than ever. It was a chance for our team to learn a little more about te reo Māori, its significance in Aotearoa, and why it remains such an important part of who we are as New Zealanders. Throughout the week, our team shared their own reo journeys with us, where they started, what has shaped them, and the place te reo holds in their lives today. Their stories reflected something much wider: the many different ways te reo Māori is learned, used and passed on across Aotearoa. A huge thank you to Haylee Putaranui (She/Her) from Tuatea Group, who joined us on Wednesday and empowered our team feel more confident and comfortable using te reo. Ngā mihi nui, Haylee. We're grateful for your time and your awesome energy! Kia kaha te reo Māori. #TeWikioteReoMāori #MāoriLanguageWeek #Team #netQ #Culture

Two of our netQ superstars, Arron Tudor and Daniel Banks, recently spent a week in Sydney at the #OPSWAT Academy Boot Camp, one of OPSWAT's intensive, hands-on training programs built for critical infrastructure cybersecurity professionals worldwide. Alongside around 20 other participants, they spent their days deep in the labs, configuring OPSWAT Core (the engine behind scanning, workflows and integrations) and connecting it across a live lab environment, all under the guidance of an OPSWAT #expert trainer. They came back sharper, more certified, and ready to bring that expertise straight to our customers. We are investing in our people so we can keep delivering smarter, safer solutions to our customers. Congrats, Arron and Daniel! #netQ #LearningandDevelopment #OPSWAT #Cybersecurity

At netQ, we help critical infrastructure operators like Genesis Energy protect their operational networks from an often-overlooked risk: the devices that connect to them. We delivered OPSWAT's MetaDefender Drive™ for Genesis Energy, giving them the ability to scan transient devices such as laptops and USB drives for malware before they ever touch the operational network. It's a simple idea with real impact: keeping unknown risks out before they become incidents. See how netQ NZ delivered this solution for Genesis Energy here: https://lnkd.in/eWDpw3kW #Cybersecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #OT #netQ
"Don't wait for an incident to drive change within your organization." At Genesis Energy, OPSWAT’s MetaDefender Kiosk™ has given engineers the confidence and peace of mind to safely introduce new devices into their networks. By scanning and validating every file before it reaches critical systems, Genesis has strengthened its overall security posture and built greater trust in daily operations. https://hubs.la/Q03R_gy10

Recently, netQ's CEO Dana Cross joined a Women in Technology Networking Lunch hosted by Tia Cashmore and the team at Feenix, bringing together female leaders from across our industry to connect, share experiences and support one another. The kaupapa behind the event was clear: these spaces aren't about competing businesses; they're about building genuine relationships and partnerships between women who understand the realities of leadership. Guest speakers Jane Kennelly and Rosanne Graham of Skills Group spoke candidly about their leadership journeys, reminding everyone how valuable it is to sit in a room where everyone understands the pressures women face in their roles. The event also supported the Avondale Safe House, with attendees contributing donations for women and children in the community, a fitting extension of the manaakitanga at the heart of the afternoon. netQ NZ is grateful to be part of a network that champions women in leadership, and we're looking forward to seeing this initiative grow across our ever-changing industry. #WomenInTech #WomenInLeadership #netQ

Last week, we hosted our Customer Welcome Party and invited our customers to celebrate our new office space at Formery. It was a great chance to connect, show off our new home, and share a bit about what's next for netQ. This week, we also turn 11. As a growing business, we know that means evolving and changing with the times, while staying true to what we do best. None of that is possible without our customers. So a big Ngā mihi to the awesome customers who trust us with their goals, strategies, and most importantly, their networks. Thank you for being part of our journey; here's to the next 11 years. #netQ #customerparty #newoffice #connection #networking

Our CEO Dana Cross took the stage at EDGE 2026, joining Fusion5 general manager of managed services Laurence Ford and assessHR director Sheryl Logan for a discussion on the health of New Zealand's channel ecosystem, chaired as part of a wider session hosted by Foundry A/NZ editorial director Cathy O'Sullivan. At the heart of the conversation was a simple idea: sustainable growth begins with knowing where your business adds the most value and building partnerships around that strength. Dana spoke about the importance of being clear about your value proposition and where your expertise lies, then building an ecosystem of partners whose capabilities complement your own. This means choosing partners deliberately, not simply in response to customer and industry demand, but to create an enduring ecosystem that brings together the right expertise and delivers better outcomes for customers. The same clarity matters when adopting AI. Dana made the case for a "people in, people out" approach: use technology to strengthen your value proposition and expertise, without losing the voice, judgement and culture that make the business distinctive. Staying on the AI journey matters, but the human lens should continue to shape how it is used and the value it creates for customers. Dana also highlighted training and development as essential to strengthening that expertise. In an industry moving as quickly as ours, leaders need to create genuine development opportunities so their people can deepen the capabilities the business is known for, collaborate confidently with partners, and keep evolving with customer needs.
