(1/2) As a Cambridge grad, a few thoughts on this sad saga:
- Jason Arday (unlike his critics) was a serial liar, and his layers upon layers of lying put him in a position that was unsustainable.
Last year at @AxiomaHungary's international conference, I interviewed Nate Svogun of @GibbonsCUA at Catholic U on technology and the risk of harm to the human person. It surprised me when he raised digital gambling as a key concern - 1 year later, everyone agrees with him.
NB: Frequent gambling is common for almost 1/2 of *conservative* young men -- markedly more so than liberal and moderate young men. Conservatives need to stop embracing the "vice economy". 👇🏽
In The Will to Power, Nietzsche says: "We no longer save, we are merely spending the capital of our forefathers, even in the way in which we pursue knowledge."
7 years ago, I wrote for @palladiummag an article arguing exactly this about my alma mater, Cambridge. I was right.

Here, I tell the true story of Jason Arday—DEI superstar and the youngest black
I'm not sure what to make of this. When people speak from life experience, we shouldn't naïvely assume objectivity. Nonetheless, the Mother focusing exclusively on Israel as the 'big bad' while skipping briskly over Islamist threats to MENA Christians feels truly bizarre.
Self-described evangelicals like Ted Cruz and Mike Johnson have no interest in how Israel treats Christians. Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos has spent years living in the region. They should listen to her.
