A giant step forward for public banking! Los Angeles City Council votes 12-0 to move forward with a municipal bank. This paves the way for LA to direct resources towards critical priorities that support working families like affordable housing & sustainable infrastructure.

$2 BILLION in profit. That’s what a public bank would’ve earned California in 2025, using cash the state already holds. Christopher Armitage ran the numbers: $20.1B over 10 years, no new taxes! Every leader should be talking about this. cmarmitage.substack.com/p/north-dakota…

Tax the billionaires. Redistribute wealth to support CA’s working families. It’s a moral, common sense step. @BernieSanders and @RoKhanna brought the energy in LA w/ @OBEYGIANT debut art for #YesOn40

Great piece from Christopher Armitage: "Public banking belongs at the center of every blue city & state’s legislative agenda for the 2026 & 2027 sessions... it is the only major lever that funds the rest of the agenda rather than competing with it."
