A note from Callan
Hi, I'm Callan, I make Zaparoo. I want to be upfront about what Warp actually is.
Zaparoo Core is open source and that isn't changing. The free stuff isn't a demo or a cut-down trial. It's the actual product, and I'm not going to start pulling things out of it to make Warp look better.
Warp pays for two things. The first is hosting: your backups have to live on a real server somewhere, and storage and bandwidth cost real money every month whether I like it or not. The second is my time. Every new feature, bug fix and late night chasing some weird MiSTer issue comes out of that.
That's the whole deal. If Warp isn't for you, that's totally fine, everything important stays free. There are other ways to help out too if you want.

Warp FAQ
Which platforms are supported?
Warp backs up your Zaparoo data on every platform Zaparoo Core runs on. On MiSTer and SteamOS it also backs up saves, save states, and settings, including MiSTer input mappings. More platforms are planned soon.
What do I need to set it up?
A MiSTer or SteamOS device running Zaparoo Core and a free Zaparoo Online account. In Core, open Settings > Online (or use the Decky plugin on Steam Deck), enter the one-time code in Zaparoo Online, then turn on automatic backup.
Can I restore onto another device?
Yes. Set up Zaparoo on the replacement device, link it to the same account, and restore a snapshot from the old device.
What happens after I cancel?
Warp stops creating new cloud snapshots. Existing snapshots remain available to browse, download, and restore.
Is there a free trial?
No. If Warp isn't right for you, request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment.
Can I create local backups without Warp?
Yes. Local backup and restore are built into Zaparoo Core and work without a Warp subscription or Zaparoo Online account.
Does Warp back up my ROMs or cores?
No. Warp backs up saves, save states, settings, and Zaparoo data. ROMs, disc images, cores, and artwork can be re-downloaded and are not included.
Are cloud backups end-to-end encrypted?
No. Backups are encrypted in transit and stored privately with provider-managed encryption at rest. See our Privacy Policy for the complete access model.
