MAINPORT unifies access to the Internet, Internet Exchanges and Cloud connectivity across Frankfurt’s leading data centers — via a single physical port with dynamic allocation of services and automated billing.
MAINPORT is Frankfurt’s carrier-neutral connectivity fabric, directly present within Digital Realty FRA1–FRA16 and Equinix FR5. It unifies access to the Internet, IXPs, Cloud providers and private interconnects across the city’s major data center campuses.
With a single physical port, customers can provision multiple services over dedicated VLANs — from IP Transit and IX access to Cloud and DDoS protection. This approach ensures flexibility, transparent billing and seamless scalability without additional cross-connects or hardware changes.

The MAINPORT Peer-Exchange is a neutral Layer-2 peering LAN available to all customers with a direct physical connection to the MAINPORT fabric. Participants can exchange traffic at no additional cost with other connected members across our core locations Digital Realty FRA1–FRA16 and Equinix FR5.
In addition to its core connectivity products, MAINPORT provides infrastructure and support services — delivered in collaboration with selected partners to extend your operational capabilities within Frankfurt’s major data centers.
