Welcome to Ask Bishop. By downloading, installing, or using the Ask Bishop application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Ask Bishop is a Bible study companion that provides AI-powered Q&A, daily devotionals, Bible reading, sermon journaling, and related study tools. The App uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate responses. AI-generated content is for personal study and reflection only and should not be treated as authoritative theological counsel.
The App is rated 4+ and is available to users of all ages. Users under 13 should use the App under parental supervision. By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Some features require a free account via Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Free users receive limited daily AI credits. Premium subscribers receive expanded credits, cross-device sync, verse highlights, advanced AI voice, and additional features. We reserve the right to modify feature availability with reasonable notice.

AI-generated responses are produced by machine learning models and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete information. Ask Bishop is not a substitute for pastoral counsel, professional advice, or personal Bible study. All AI content should be verified against Scripture. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.
The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by Jeremy Sadler. Scripture texts are sourced from public-domain and licensed translations via bible.org and API.Bible. You retain ownership of content you create (notes, journal entries, highlights) within the App.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ask Bishop and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
