I haven't posted in a while. I got a part time job, I'm back in school for a doctoral degree. No one really knows how broken someone is by themselves at night. This absolutely sucks.
Introduce Yourself
Hi everyone, I have just joined Bezzy tonight. My wife and I lost our beautiful 23 year-old daughter Serena on February 23, 2024. She was bedbound and very limited in functional abilities, and required constant care. We had her at home other than hospital stays for her entire life, and would not have changed one day of our time with her, other than wishing she had not suffered with chronic illness. Even after these two plus years of having to be without her there is still so much pain at times, though we are able to share recollections of so many bright and incredible days with Serena. My wife and I are still trying to learn how to cope with life as it is now, and how to relate to each other without our "Beanie Girl". My heart goes out to other parents who have lost a child--There is no greater loss that I can imagine. Thank you for the chance to share!

Teach children to notice the little things - an ant crossing a path, the scent of wild thyme, the sound of the sea, the changing moon above them. Wonder is more than curiosity. It’s a quiet form of mindfulness that helps us slow down, stay present, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us every day. When children learn to notice the world with awe, they often grow into adults who carry that sense of wonder, resilience, and gratitude through life’s most difficult moments. Sometimes, the smallest moments leave the biggest imprint on our mental wellbeing. Mental Health Awareness Malta

One day, none of us will own anything we are so loudly worried about. The rooms will change hands. The clothes will be folded by someone else. The passwords will stop mattering. The arguments will look silly from a great distance. But kindness may keep travelling. The animal you fed, the person you comforted, the child you made laugh, the tree you did not cut, these small mercies may outlive your name in ways you never get to measure. @amazingQuotesWorld

I am in a day room taking refuge from the heat. I am listening to the most beautiful soft instrumental music. I opened my prayer book. God, I am listening. Please direct my paths to those things that are pleasant in your eyes in my life and in my Bezzy friends' lives. Thank you Jesus ❣️

Hello everyone. This is my first real attempt at trying to reach out. I am a 49 year old survivor of SA and physical abuse most of my life that started at the age of 7 and ended at 30. I struggle with PTSD, developed OCD as a coping mechanism and struggle daily with massive depression for the last couple of years now due to chronic illness and have a general feeling of self hatred and not wanting to be alive. I took this step and have my first emergency counseling session later today to get help. Not sure if or how any of this will help but willing to put myself out there as I feel that this is my last attempt of surviving.
