Founded in 2021, Vellum LA is Los Angeles based gallery with a focus on new media and digital art. Vellum LA’s goal is to meaningfully situate the digital art community within the context of art history, while also educating the public on the potential of blockchain to impact the future of art.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Vellum LA has partnered with <a href="https://www.artsy.net/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Artsy</a> to present Artists Who Code, an online auction and IRL group exhibition featuring generative art NFTs by women and nonbinary artists. Curated by Mieke Marple and Sinziana Velicescu, Artists Who Code explores the use of generative art techniques from AI to algorithms as empowering tools honed by artists to pave the way for a new language in the realm of digital art and beyond.
