📊 This morning's Key Stage 2 SATs results are a testament to the hard work of children, teachers and school leaders across the country. Paul Whiteman - NAHT general secretary, said: "Children, teachers and school leaders have worked incredibly hard throughout the year and deserve huge credit for their achievements. However, these tests take up a disproportionate amount of time and place enormous strain on children and school staff for little obvious benefit – and this has been compounded by another unacceptable delay in delivering results this year." "These delays must not be allowed to happen again, and the government must ensure Pearson and STA, which are responsible for delivering these tests, are held accountable for this shambles." NAHT will take part in the independent review announced by the government and ensure members' experiences are represented in the strongest possible terms. Every school has its own way of teaching, learning and working. The best technology supports that, helping staff and students use digital tools in a way that works for them. In this case study by our partner Concero Education Technology, Alcester Academy shares how a joined-up approach to Microsoft and Google Workspace is supporting blended learning across the school. The film explores how technology is helping to simplify teaching and learning, build staff confidence, support students’ digital skills, and strengthen day-to-day school operations. It also highlights the importance of working with an IT partner who understands the school’s context, ambitions and long-term digital journey. Yesterday, NAHT was honoured to attend the UK National Srebrenica Memorial Event at Church House in London. The theme, “We Are Here”, echoed throughout the invited speakers' and survivors’ statements - each one a reminder of extraordinary courage, resilience and the importance of standing together against hatred and division. With Remembering Srebrenica selected as our next NAHT president’s national charity, we were proud to be present and to show our support. As we look ahead to 2026/27, we are committed to working closely with Remembering Srebrenica, supporting their vital mission to promote remembrance, education and unity.
