PUSH Buffalo

PUSH Buffalo started with six people knocking on doors on the West Side, asking neighbors what needed to change. Twenty years later, that same spirit drives everything we do.

This year, with Give716 and your support, we hope to raise $2,500 to expand the Movement Leadership Institute, our intergenerational community hub offering programming, leadership development, and organizing space for Buffalo residents of all ages.

Some of the work we have done over the years:

1. Invested over $84 million in green affordable housing
2. Weatherized more than 1,000 homes
3. Trained local residents for jobs in clean energy
4. Built the region's first Sustainability Workforce Training Center
5. Launched a Mutual Aid Hub as a resource, support, and supplies center during the pandemic

We fight for Good Cause Eviction, utility justice, and climate protections because the people who built Buffalo deserve to stay in it.

This is not charity. This is community power. PUSH is accountable to the residents of Buffalo's West and East Sides because that is where we come from and where we build.
