Driving cancer medicine into a new era
Cancer Core Europe (CCE) is a collaborative consortium of leading European comprehensive cancer centres dedicated to advancing cancer research and accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical practice across Europe.
Providing an environment where preclinical, translational, and clinical research occur side-by-side in our centers means that patients can benefit directly from experimental findings.
Collectively, our seven cancer centres treat approximately 300,000 patients annually.
CCE centres collaborate across four main pillars:
Clinical Trials and Translational Research
Our work focuses, currently, in 2 main trials, as well as investigating new biomarker integration strategies and methods to incorporate diverse biomarkers into ongoing studies.
Virtual Data Centre (VDC)
Our work is centered on creating a collaborative data sharing platform that will make it easier for translational and clinical researchers to undertake exploratory analysis on massive datasets.
Early Detection & Prevention
This pillar, which was established in 2023, is dedicated on cancer early detection and prevention. And will particularly target high-risk patients with the greatest medical need.
Education & Training
We seek to educate and train the next generation of cancer researchers and clinicians in Personalised Cancer Medicine (PCM) to assure the continuation and sustainability of CCE.
