Gave a keynote talk "3D Vision: Done & Dust3d?" at the International Conference on 3D Vision (3DV 2026) in Vancouver.
ERC Starting Grant awarded
Awarded an ERC Starting Grant for the project 'Volute — Visual Omniversal Learning from Universal Teachers'. The grant is worth up to €1.5 million over five years and addresses the shortage of labelled training data for large computer vision models.
Research Interests
I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Oxford and one of the leads of the Visual Geometry Group (VGG). My research focuses on computer vision and machine learning, particularly 3D reconstruction, generative models, and visual understanding. I received my PhD in 2018 from the Technical University of Munich. My work has received multiple awards, including two Best Paper Awards at CVPR. I am also Chief Research Officer at Third Dimension AI, a company building spatial generation technologies at the intersection of 3D and world modelling.
