OpenAI DevDay 2026

OpenAI DevDay is on September 29, 2026 at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

OpenAI DevDay is for developers and hands-on technical builders, including engineers, technical founders, researchers, and technical leaders actively building with AI or ready to start.

The program is technical and designed for people who want to build, experiment, compare notes with other developers, and spend time with the OpenAI teams building the tools.

Applications are now closed, but you can still join us virtually for the keynote. Sign up to get notified before it starts here.

We’ll email you with your application status by late July.

If invited, you’ll receive registration details at the email you provided in your application. You’ll have 14 days to claim your ticket before it is offered to someone on the waitlist.

We’ll offer spots to people on the waitlist as they become available. If we’re able to offer you a spot, we’ll contact you with instructions to register.

Applications can no longer be edited or updated. If invited, you will have an opportunity to correct your information.

If you’re invited, registration is $650.

Yes. We’ll offer a limited number of scholarships that cover registration and may include travel and accommodation. For those that applied, the option to request consideration was part of the application process.

No. You’ll need to receive an invitation and complete registration before arriving at Fort Mason.

On September 29, you can join us online. The keynote will be livestreamed for free and is open to everyone. You can sign up here for a reminder before it starts. Other sessions will be recorded and posted on openai.com shortly after the event.
