Intern House is a web platform that matches interns with potential roommates and suitable housing options. Users can create profiles, view detailed roommate and property listings, and use robust filters (by location, age, and property type) to find the best housing match. The platform also includes a compatibility checker that calculates match percentages based on key criteria such as location, age, and housing preferences. We built using JavaScript and HTML, and we ran into issues mainly combining the two languages as most of us had never done it before. This project was inspired by our own individual efforts to land internships for the summer, and the forecasted housing issues we believed we would face if fortunate to land one. We learned a lot about the troubles people have finding roommates especially for living situations where costs are just too high, and a lot about each other, especially our goals and aspirations as it related to our majors.
