FAQ

Do I need to install a Figma plugin?

No. figma.to.code is a web service. Copy a frame in Figma, paste it in figma.to.code, get HTML. No plugin install, no admin approval, no file access to grant.

What does the exported code include?

figma.to.code preserves the parts of a Figma design that have direct equivalents in HTML and CSS:

  • Layout structure — the frame, group, and child-element hierarchy from your Figma file.
  • Typography — font choices and text sizing as set in Figma.
  • Colors and fills — applied to backgrounds, text, and shapes.
  • Spacing — padding and gaps from your Figma auto-layout.
  • Images — exported as assets and referenced inline in the markup.

Figma-specific behaviors like prototype interactions, variables, and component variant logic don't have direct HTML equivalents and aren't part of the output.

What output formats are supported?

Two formats: HTML with inline styles, or HTML with Tailwind CSS classes. Pick inline for self-contained markup (emails, embeds, single-file demos) or Tailwind if your project already uses it.

Does figma.to.code support multiple pages?

Yes. Copy multiple pages or frames from Figma in one selection, and figma.to.code converts each one separately. Each page's code is listed individually, ready to copy or download as its own file.

Does figma.to.code use AI?

No. figma.to.code runs on our proprietary conversion engine. There's no LLM generating your code, which means near-instant conversion and no token-based costs.

How much does it cost?

A flat rate of 1 credit per frame, regardless of design complexity. No token billing, no surprise charges for complex designs.
