What is Permapod?

Permapod is a non custodial DeFi protocol built on Zigchain, part of the Cosmos ecosystem. It enables users to deposit assets as collateral and borrow stablecoins or other tokens in a secure, decentralized environment.

Permapod mission is to bridge on-chain finance with Real World Assets (RWAs) — such as real estate, infrastructure, and energy plants — to create sustainable yield opportunities and expand liquidity beyond crypto-native markets.

Supported Assets

Permapod supports 2 categories of collateral:

  1. Cryptocurrencies – available at launch to ensure instant usability and support Zigchain’s native liquidity.
  2. RWAs (Real World Assets) – progressively integrated after launch. These are tokenized, income-generating assets whose listing depends on valuation, insurance coverage, and regulatory compliance.

Key Principles

  • Lending & Borrowing – users can lock approved assets to borrow other tokens.
  • RWA Integration – each RWA token is:
    • Issued by a regulated third party, not by Permapod itself.
    • Insured and periodically revalued through oracles and reserve auditors.
    • Linked to verifiable and transferable ownership rights.
  • Income Dynamics – income from the underlying asset supports loan repayment or generates passive yield for the borrower.
  • Systemic Stability – powered by a modular architecture featuring:
    • An automated liquidation engine.
    • Reliable oracles with fallback mechanisms.
    • Asset-specific Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios for each RWA category.
