NEON - NEXUS (2024)
Neon-Nexus is a sci-fi action thriller set within its own original fictional world that has been developed as an ongoing personal project of mine for a potential graphic novel. Originally started off as a small narrative that revolved around the exploration of a post-apocalyptic society filled exclusively with machine lifeforms, it slowly changed into something more ambitious as I toyed with the narrative as years went on.
The narrative sets itself out with the intention of telling a heavily character-driven story with the dynamics between the main duo protagonists it centres around through identity, resistance to change and lastly of course with robots. This project was initialised over a 24 week period for my final major project as a undergraduate student that I had the pleasure of showing off at the New Designers Graduate showcase in London as of July 2024.

Merge & Mingle (2023)

This was created as my entry for the CLIP STUDIO PAINT international comic/manga school contest 2023, submitted under the manga catagory out of five possible options. The brief for this project was to create a black/white comic with an minimum of 7 total pages of a complete original idea as long as it followed the contest's set theme: Light & Dark. However, the brief asked for a unique twist to the juxtaposition between the two elements instead of sticking just to what Light & Dark means.
Through brianstorming ideas I decided upon 'seperate and union', tying it directly into the story such as making it's setting of fagical fantasy and everyday life distinct from each other. Synopsis: "A short 8-paged comic showcasing a small glimpse into the life of a family owned Magic Emporium and the two that run it while hiding away the essence of magic from the Modern world." |
