it\u2019s like to feel uprooted&#8230;navigating a new culture, questioning where you belong, and feeling overwhelmed by endless change. In response, I started closing myself off when things got tough. I only shared my struggles with a few, and only after the hardest parts had passed &#8211; downplaying them as if they weren\u2019t a big deal. <b><i>Looking back, I realize how much I missed out on by not opening up sooner.<\/i><\/b><\/p><p>With each move, I found myself starting over&#8230;rebuilding connections from scratch just to keep my passion and business going. Even though mine is short, I love to experiment &#8211; from super spiky to messy short, short fringe, longer fringe, highlights in blue, red, or pink&#8230; it all depends on my mood when I visit the hairdresser. Finding a stylist who\u2019s up for the challenge isn\u2019t always easy, but after some trial and error, I\u2019ve been lucky enough to find ones who play along &#8211; no matter where I\u2019ve lived.<\/p><p>3\ufe0f\u20e3 In some of the places we\u2019ve lived, I\u2019ve taught private yoga classes, led meditations, and even hosted body workout sessions on the beach.<\/p><p>4\ufe0f\u20e3 Thanks to menopause, my body no longer tolerates red wine (fun times!), but I still enjoy a glass of champagne or a good G&amp;T on occasion.<\/p><p>5\ufe0f\u20e3 The first time my husband (who is Dutch) and I actually lived together was when we moved across the world to Singapore.
